Good night gents
The game isn't over. What's with all the negative posts?
The decreases in swings and misses is definitely concerning.
Not been the same since that shoulder injury last year. He bounced back from the knee surgery fine, but now he has shit command his secondary pitches are garbage. He's our #5... this is what a #5 pitches like. Some decent nights (like last night) and some horrible nights. It sucks, b/c he had a higher ceiling --- but at this point, he is what he is.

Right now I think Lewis is #3 and Derek and Martin is a toss up for #4/5 till Griffin and Yu returns. He's supposed to be the #3.

1 Darvish 2 Hamels 3 lewis 4 Griffin 5 Derek/Perez ( based on current performance )
I wonder if what Derek is experiencing is common for the type of injury that he had. I would also like to know if how he has pitched since that injury is ever going to get better or is this what he has to be for the rest of his career. I really wish we had some local writers who actually researched something like this and gave us an informative article. I know there was talk of a drop in velocity earlier this year and I would like to know if that is normal and if it can be expected to improve.
