Profar hit his 5th HR tonight. He may get a chance to hit one up here soon.

We have had 4 catchers play this year for us and they have hit a total of 6 HRS compared to Fielder's 2 while Fielder has had about 10 more at bats than they have.

The maneaoh whatever guy for Oakland tonight shut them down. Unfortunately, this team tends to get shut down by pitchers everyone else crushes. Dickey had his best games against us and now this guy.

The decreases in swings and misses is definitely concerning.

He's our #5... this is what a #5 pitches like. Some decent nights (like last night) and some horrible nights. It sucks, b/c he had a higher ceiling --- but at this point, he is what he is.

Not been the same since that shoulder injury last year. He bounced back from the knee surgery fine, but now he has shit command his secondary pitches are garbage.

He's supposed to be the #3.
Right now I think Lewis is #3 and Derek and Martin is a toss up for #4/5 till Griffin and Yu returns.
1 Darvish 2 Hamels 3 lewis 4 Griffin 5 Derek/Perez ( based on current performance )

I suppose you have Griffin as the #2 currently? Not that I disagree.

I wonder if what Derek is experiencing is common for the type of injury that he had. I would also like to know if how he has pitched since that injury is ever going to get better or is this what he has to be for the rest of his career. I really wish we had some local writers who actually researched something like this and gave us an informative article. I know there was talk of a drop in velocity earlier this year and I would like to know if that is normal and if it can be expected to improve.

Honestly, it's a total crap shoot.
