I'd also vote for Greinke, Sabathia, Scherzer and Cano. Posey's borderline. One of the greatest hitting catchers ever, but under 1000 games at C right now and his bat is declining. I'd probably vote for him anyway given his peak.

Throw in an MVP, ROY, very good defense, and the leader of a 3 ring dynasty...Posey's in

Since these guys are all active I'm assuming we're going with the hypothetical "if he was in a plane crash" scenario. I believe at this point, if the unthinkable happened they would waive the 10 year rule and let Trout in. With regards to Bumgarner, his postseason heroics are the kind of thing that will put him in the San Francisco Giants Hall of Fame or Wall of fame or whatever they have, but the rest of his resume isn't enough to get him in the hall of fame yet.

Dude's only 30...

Voted for Miggy, Pujols, Trout, JV and Kershaw.

Would've voted for Scherzer also, but ran out of votes. And CC will be enshrined before any of them.

It was more than just one postseason run. I don't think he's a HOFer, but if Jack Morris is in, MadBum is better than Jack Morris, and that includes the postseason.
There are 20-30 oldhats that'd have to get in before MadBum, unless he goes on an old guy tear.

Really? How many rings did Mauer lead his team to?

Rings don't mean as much as they do in football, Otherwise, every yankee from the early 50s would be in the hall. Same for the late 30s Yankees.

Ernie Banks never won a ring. Should not be in the Hall? The HOF in baseball is an indivdual award based on individual stats. Championships have very little to do with being voted in.

0 play-off wins.

How many rings did Tony Gwynn lead his team to? How about Mike Piazza? Or Ken Griffey Jr.?

Was going to comment on how Kershaw is the easy pick of the 3 pitchers and then it was hard to decide between Verlander and Scherzer...

But then I realized you are a tigers fan... so You have SOME Blinders on for Verlander...

Verlander's postseason resume absolutely destroys Kershaw's

Oddly enough same amount of starts

Regular season Kershaw is clearly one of the GOAT's but as of today the gap isn't significant between the two imo because of the postseason results.

Sure verlander has been better than Kershaw in the postseason. Not a difficult task.

But let’s not pretend verlander has good postseason numbers. He is not a good postseason pitcher. He is just better than Kershaw.

I don’t give him a boost for mediocrity.

Verlander carried the Astros to a World Series and has 13 wins with an ERA just over 3

You serious Clark?

How on earth is an ERA barely above 3 in the postseason mediocre? It's one thing if you want to say he hasn't been a good WS pitcher, but his other numbers are fantastic.

The only thing for me is the short career length, but he was one of the best offensive catchers of his era, if not all-time.

His career ain't over, not that he's much of a hitter anymore. He'll get in

But Piazza is the best offensive catcher ever isn't he?
