Banner Image Vote Off

Here's the deal...

We need to have our banner images drilled down before we can get an approved banner uploaded by the SportsHoopla administrators. The site brand needs to comply to certain specifics however we want to make sure we all have a say in the matter if at all possible.

I recall a system that may help us drill down these images as a group.

It's basically a vote off where you vote one image up and another image down.

I'll provide an example using muscle cars so there is no confusion once the actual Vote off begins.

10 Mustang
10 Camaro
10 Javlin
10 TransAm
10 Cuda​

So you simply copy and paste the list and then you get to add (+1) to the one you want to keep and subtract (-1) to the one you want to remove. If you vote one up, then you must vote one down.

For instance if I wanted to increase the chances of a Cuda and decrease the chances of a Mustang after I copied and pasted the list it would look like this...

9 Mustang
10 Camaro
10 Javlin
10 TransAm
11 Cuda​

Everyone gets a chance to vote once per day and eventually we will see which images are most popular by those who visit the site on a routine basis.

In the next post I will list the images Retroram has collected on the other thread regarding this topic.

This was a popular and fun exercise often used to vote for GOAT's and sech but it should let us select the images in a fair and fun manner.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think he up voted too many without enough corresponding down votes. I thought it was supposed to be a 1:1 ratio, no? His list has too many 11's when compared to the rest of our lists

Yes in stage 1 it is a 1:1 ratio. It will increase to a 2:1 ratio once we all have a good feel for he way this works. In stage two, we will be voting off 2 and voting for 1. That way we can drill down the list a bit faster. I started it off with the 1:1 to begin just for this reason. It's a lot easier to track errors to the format until we are all comfortable with the process.

I will PM both Retro and Ramfan88 and ask them to recast their vote for today. If they don't get to it then they both can vote 2x on another day.

That said I will pick up from LongtimeRamFans post (Post 8) and lets all now state who we are voting up and who we are voting down and then adjust the copy and past from the previous post.

I think you got it actually except you are starting with the original list and not the last post with the most upto date list is all.
