Just as an example, Texas has played four of the current top 12 teams in the country, and held all quite a bit below their averages in yardage and points (USC,OU,OSU,TCU). Granted, did not win one of them, but took two to OT. And TCU has a good defense, just went up against the best offense in big boy football. Here's the top ten defenses in holding teams on 3rd down. Note Texas and TCU are higher than...Alabama?
