Thats not good, the question is can you carry him for to months as a deactivate or do you need to put him on IR. This is bad news, cant keep losing offensive lineman like this

Yeah, I was just going to post this. He is getting a second opinion but it sounds like he's going to miss about 8 weeks. Very bad news. Molk is OK at center IMO, but he lacks the special athleticism that Kelce has in blocking down the field, which is almost unprecedented at that position. This is a big blow.

Might be more and more passing and less and less running to keep RB's in to block. Shadys gonna be hoping for 1000 yd season and wishing for his 2000.

The Eagles have such an explosive offense, these setbacks are just the football gods trying to level the playing field for their opponents. One has to wonder if even defense genius like Tom Landry (Dallas' Doomsday Defense), Don Shula (Miami's No Name Defense) and Chuck Noll (Pittsburgh's Steel Curtain) could have found a way to contain them. Week in and week out, they manage to put up basketball scores.

Jason Kelce is a key cog to their offensive line for many reasons, but they still have winnable games coming up and Lane Johnson will be back in two weeks so they'll have 3/5ths of their offensive line which isn't bad and the bench guys who are starters will be back on the bench, which will give them more depth

We'll see what happens but I don't think this should hurt them all that much

Thing is - not sure where I came across it this week - that the Eagles, including Kelly, were none too happy about it themselves, but that every time they were to pick, the O-linemen they liked in that round were off the board... Of course we always could go the Andy Reid route and pick 28 year old former firemen in the first round...

We couldnt fill every hole in the draft and who expected to lose 5 of our top 7 OL in the first 3 weeks back in April???? Its pretty unheard of. When Peters got ejected, we were without 6 of our top 7 OL IN WEEK 3 vs a very good front 7...and we still scored 10 pts in the last 10 min. of the 4th to win the game. Thats Big time!

You have to develop some free agents and late round picks in this league. Looks to me that they are doing that on the OL with guys like Molk and Tobin.

We'll be all right. Here is some food for thought: after starting 3-0, Philly can go 7-6 the rest of the way and still make the playoffs. The season looks bright.
