FYI Roger is the latest Dallas pick who actually played for Dallas to make the HOF.
There are a few Dallas UDFAs who should be in the Hall.

The more I read up on this draft, the more I think it sets up perfectly for Dallas. DE, CB and S are all deep with good prospects

I am of the same opinion. I fully trust the organization on this one, and BPA and all that, but I am hoping to see those three positions in that order in the first three rounds. I think that is where the depth is, BPA and team need will align at these positions in these rounds. JMO, I'll drop the H from now on, because we all know better...

Yep, I wouldn't even mind doubling up on some positions, turn a weakness into a strength

I have been kicking around the idea of doubling down on Safety and converting Byron Jones to CB full time. I think Jones is great, and is only going to get better. I was a big fan of moving him to FS and thought he would be great there. He was very good last year and made a huge impact at FS. My concern with him at FS is he doesn't create turnovers, and I'm slightly concerned that part of his game may never develop. In the NFL it is so important that your Safeties can create turnovers, especially playing a cover-2. That said, Jones is an elite cover guy and could be great as a boundary CB - his measureables are on a PAR, if not better than Jalen Ramsey.

Let's say a draft of...
1. Takk McKinley/T.J. Watt/Charles Harris
2. Budda Baker/Obi Melifonwu/Marcus Maye
3. Marcus Williams/Justin Evans/Josh Jones

Two new Safeties and your starting CBs are Jones, Scandrick, and Brown with Carrol as your 4th.

Yeah, I like the Safety group alot, that's not a bad call on Jones. I also think you can get a pure DE early, and a good pass rush specialist prospect a little later

Jones is a perfect fit for FS. He would be a good CB, bit not as good as FS. I don't see anyway we switch him unless injury forces it at some point. He is a future Pro Bowler

I think Jones will/would be a pro-bowler at either position. Have said so from the start.

I just wonder if he will ever be able to turn the ball over. I think it's a valid concern. Although not all his time has been spent at FS, one turnover in two years is very poor. Couple that with the fact Dallas likes to use him as a match up weapon in coverage as it is, so he's already not playing FS full time - why not just make him a CB full time?

I'm not saying I'm ready to abandon Jones at FS, but if the draft falls a certain way, it might not be the worst idea.

I read somewhere that's one reason we didn't resign our CBs. Supposedly Rod wants to go zone a lot more.
