I was fully on the Hogeboom bandwagon. He had a cannon for an arm, I just wish he didn't use said cannon for five yard passes.
Oh, I'm with you. I think it was immediately after a Monday night game against the Redskins when I was certain he was our next great QB

Keep in mind also, correct me if I'm wrong, you get local visits with players from schools close to you that don't count as an "official visit". I believe they're working out a corner from Oklahoma that doesn't count. Any idea of other " local" candidates?

I think you're talking about "Dallas Day". Basically amounts to a private tryout for unheralded prospects.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Walt Garrison was a childhood hero of mine.
put a little pinch between your check and gums and it sure feels relaxing.

Robert Newhouse was another, but I've always had a soft spot for good fullbacks and centers

Could be right, the Oklahoma corner was ranked pretty low.

I think the prospects that attend are only either from the Dallas area or from Dallas area Colleges.

I know I'm in the minority, but Corey Davis is the one kid that I'd go offense over defense in round one for. I think that kid is going to be a superstar and would make the Cowboys impossible to defend

Obviously not saying every 5th round pick was poor. There are a few guys i liked on the list too. I always loved that left handed RB option pass from Springs. But if you look at the total number of 5th round picks we have had in our history, the list should be better than it is

I think WR and T could be targets. I guess TE, but I don't see TE being the BPA or best player for us so I'm hoing we stay away. What we have learned over the last few years of better drafting is that the draft isn't over after round 1. So even if the needs we individually or collective see as fans are not filled in round one, there is plenty of time to do it over the 3 days.

I grew up in The Colony, went to school in Lewisville. Passed his office every day, twice. Newhouse was no joke and Ron Springs and Everson Walls.....that is a touching story. I tear up thinking about it

Seems we hit on more UDFA than we do 5th rounders. Bill Bates is my favorite blue collar Cowboy. You couldn't help but cheer for him.

I like Cory, he is one of the players I have seen a few times this last season. My wife went to Western and they were on a bit more in my area. Now, granted I did not see every game, but I don't see him as a real game breaker like Julio or AJ (in the NFL). I would pass in the 1st but not in the 2nd. Not sure I think he will last till our second but if there I would grab him. His size alone tilts the field in favor of our Offense.

Yeah, I would say our UFDAs probably match up with anyones. Bill Bates was one of my favorites too.

Here is a question. I would have gotten this wrong even with 20 hints and whoever gets it right pretty much is outing themselves as GOOGLING it unless they are a trivia wiz...so you might as well GOOGLE it because you aren't likely to get it.

Who is the lowest player ever drafted by the Dallas Cowboys to make the NFL Hall of Fame?
