Bummer, last time I check, which was a while ago, it just said for the near future. Kid has had a tough go of it.
I think he couldve played this year but with the good start they just decided to sit him and let him work on getting stronger

Bummer. Hate when injuries have an affect on a team. We've been without a starter for a couple games that we've lost, which would ultimately keep us out of the tournament.

And yeah next year Iowa had a chance to be a top 10 team, assuming everyone comes back.

To be fair, weve been without Willis who shouldnt be a starter.

On the flip side we have been very fortunately with opponents having guys out.

So its been pretty equal.

Yeah that's true. The games against Oklahoma State, Michigan and the first OSU game were fortunate for us from an injury perspective.

Ohio State has now won 5 out of 6 largely without their best freshman

Hopefully he comes back...odd situation

Such a uniquely weird season

So many 16-8,17-8 teams
Yep. I think a lot of teams are like I described Tech in the Big 12 thread. They are good enough to beat anyone in conference and also good enough to lose to anyone in conference. I think that describes a lot of teams around the country. JMO

Hell of a comeback for Illinois

Unfortunately the chucker Frazier couldnt make 2 shots. Lost by 1.

Absolute shit effort in the first half by Illinois and absolute shit half by Sparty in the 2nd half. Comeback wasn’t spoiled by Frazier at all but by Ayo trying to make something out of nothing in the final seconds. Sometimes MJ had to dump to Paxson and not take the final shot.

Frazier has always been a chucker, this year he just can’t find his rhythm in this role for some reason. Maybe it comes in March? Won’t know unless he keeps shooting and I’m good with that. I’d like to see him dump it inside and move, maybe get it back.

Sparty loss is all on Underwood. Illinois wasn’t even close to ready to play in that game. Down 20 in the first half at home is pathetic.

It is cute that you pinned that loss on Frazier tho. ;)

Underwood needs to get off his high horse and play #5 Tevian Jones. Dude had a nba finals Lebron hustle back block off the back board today that was sick. No one else on that team could put that block in their jockstrap ever

Time to let him out of the doghouse Brad

I’m not pinning losses on the guy. He should just stop shooting.

Today might of been worse

It’s a team game but yeah he’s not hitting a barn lately but who do you want to shoot? Underwood won’t play TJ because he’s got hurt feelz

lol. Only one way to get out of a slump. You’re talking about shutting down a guy who shot 40% from 3 last year

Honestly did you watch the Sparty or Rutgers games?

I’d unleash Griffin(he was bad today apparently)

Griffin is a far better scorer and rebounder. And when I watch it doesn’t appear Frazier has some insane edge on D

I didn’t watch today. Did watch most of Sparty game tho.

Alan got some shots today but he can’t shoot all by himself. He wasn’t bad. And I’m all for him having the green light too. Frazier is in there because everyone knows what he can do, he just needs to adjust and get his where he can. But the team as a whole this year has been on or off. Hopefully they can figure something out

I blame some on Underwood. You don’t see the ball go in the post as much as it should and then because of that, you won’t see it get kicked back out for 3.

Pitino should be looking for a new job if he keeps Demir on Garza.

This game will come down to which things stop happening.

Gophers-Missing wide open 3s

Iowa- Making the worst bounce passes ive ever seen over and over/Just starring at rebounds to give Gophers 2nd/3rd chances.

Iowa needs Frederick back BAD.

There is only so much Garza can do. And when he goes to the bench its a Northwestern type lineup.

McCaffery and Toussaint become such liabilities without the extra floor spacer.

Weiskamp is still really good but he doesnt have the dominant motor and today can't get going.

Gutsy win for Iowa. Garza in about 20 minutes basically did it himself.

Absolutely embarrassing loss for the Gophs.

Inexcusable.
