I really liked them by year's end . But what I meant was had he come back this year they'd likely be a top 20 team ( imo ). Not that they are now without him

Ahh misunderstood your post. My bad. I would agree, they would have been a top 20ish-25 team IMO. And challenge for top 4 in the B1G, which looks like it's going to be better than we thought

I'm glad Carr is gone, he gave us the high hard one three times last year.

How about those B1G teams vs the Big east!!1
I know I was spot on with my prediction of UM. I said they suffer a significant drop because they don’t have anyone to shoot from the outside.

Guess when you hold teams to 25% shooting, you don’t have to knock down threes

The core is solid. I figured this would be like the 2016 team. Solid B1G contender that can make a sweet 16. Losing Wagner and MAARs isn't that big since Iggy is a beast.

I’m more worried about teams just saying — we will play zone all game and stop them getting to the basket.

Then in close games — Matthews and Simpson are horrendous from the line.

That’s why I thought we’d have a big drop off. But I didn’t take into account the type of defense they’d play. Pretty crazy. And it isn’t a gimmick defense they are using — all the starters are just really good on the ball defenders.

Before the season I was hoping we could split the Cincy/Creighton road games. Winning both is awesome. The growing pains came and went tonight but they pulled it out. Should be 6-0 heading into the B1G/ACC Challenge game vs Syracuse with the next 3 against South Carolina State, Samford and Cleveland State.

Never count out Cleveland State. They'll jump up and bite ya.

B1G off to an incredible start. I want to say 7-3 against P6 teams off the top of my head.

Based on the "others receiving votes", I'm going to guess the B1G winds up with no less than 5-6 ranked teams in the next top 25, with michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Ohio State, Purdue, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Nebraska all unbeaten and either already ranked or just outside of the top 25 in last week's rankings.

EDIT: My bad, forgot Sparty lost their first game

11/28 is going to be an amazing slate of games as it stands now:

#15 Syracuse @ Ohio State
#4 Virginia @ Maryland
#23 Purdue @ #14 Florida State
#7 UNC @ #18 michigan

My guess is if Iowa wins tonight and Purdue wins their tournament. MSU, Michigan, Purdue, Indiana, Iowa and Ohio State will be ranked.

The winner of Iowa-UConn will be ranked. Both have a currently ranked win and are unbeaten.

I actually was thinking that if anything it'd be MSU, michigan, Purdue, Indiana, Iowa, and Nebraska/Wisconsin, with OSU the least likely, but I'd be fine with your lineup.

I was a little surprised Ohio State wasn't ranked this week. I had them #25 in tHoop poll from earlier in the week.

The Cincy win was really good, but I think they were coming from a place of not even receiving any votes, so I wasn't too shocked. The Creighton one might do the job though.

Cincy was 9th in ORV in the preseason. This is going to end up as a Q1 win I'm almost 100% certain. I'd value more out of the Cincy win than the Creighton win tbh. I'm guessing that ends up as a Q2 win, which will still be valuable come selection sunday.
