Awesome deal!
Varlamov clearly not learning his lesson. First he was arrested for assault, and now he's committed highway robbery!
I think Varly is an incredible goalie, but with his injury history and that term, seems like a risky move.
Can't beat that deal!

From the trade thread, a list of all the UFA goalies this year.
Halak AND Elliott are UFA? Damn. Bad situation for a Cup favorite.
Looking at Cap Geek, the crop is bigger:
Brodeur (Obviously will retire)
Thomas
Khabibulin (Who I imagine will retire)
Emery
Bryz
Dubnyk
Vokoun
Gustavsson
Giguere (probably will retire)
Greiss
Didn't scroll down far enough. Scrivens, Labarbera, Hutton, Montoya and Peters.
Plus Miller. They overpaid for Varly. Badly.

Varly signing this deal with the Avs was like taking candy from a baby. I find it lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous.
Out of all those goalies you listed, Ryan Miller is the only one better than Varly - there's a reason certain goalies don't get paid a lot because they're not that great - a great or even really good goalie is going to get paid like he should
