Yep. We also need to keep Tillman and Chris Harris on Roddy White all game long. I'm not convinced that Julio Jones and the rest of that receiving corp can beat us. We need to make them prove they can. Briggs and Urlacher need to do everything in their power to stop The Burner in his return to Chicagoland. If our best players can lock down their best players and Peppers can get to Ryan, it's going to be a long day for Atlanta.
On offense, I hope that we'll see more Earl Bennett today. Also, they need to establish Forte as a receiver early on. By mixing up our offense, we should be able to score a lot of points today.
I think the Bears probably win at home, but I won't be overly concerned if we don't. Atlanta is a good team and we have enough veterans to regroup if we lose.
This just in... the Chicago Bears defense is really, really good. Two forced turnovers and a sack, and Atlanta only has three points twenty minutes into this game. The offensive line needs to pick it up, but its looking good so far.
So, we are up 30-6 at the end of third. Our D-Line has been dominant today, and Martz has called a really smart game plan. I thought that we had about a 60% chance of winning this game, so I am stunned we are killing them like this. Hopefully, Bear_Down is at the game, because it really looks like people are having a good time.
Good to see from the Bears. That defense is pretty darn stout in order to do this to Atlanta. Not a shock at all to see Pepper and Urlacher team up for that TD. It's a shame Briggs can't wait until the end of the season to try and force a trade.
So, the game is officially over. The Bears won 30-12 and that makes it sound closer than it was. This was an old-fashioned ass kicking of the #1 seed in the NFC last year. Matt Ryan was punished today, getting hit seven times by Henry Melton alone. He never had more than three seconds to throw the ball. The O-Line looked shaky at moments, but did great most of the time. Martz called a great game with many short passes going for big gains.
All in all we looked really good. Maybe the oddsmakers will think twice before making us underdogs at home.
