One of the biggest series for the M's this year... Felix hasn't had many opportunities to pitch in big games but when he has, he hasn't done so well... This is an opportunity to get that monkey off his back... We need him to pitch great tonight... Winning the first game of this series w/ Felix at the mound would bode well for the remainder of the series imo...

We need the King... Tonight! He may not get this opportunity again...

The next six days will be the biggest stretch of our season, but let's take it one game at a time and no better way to start then............

Every series from here on out is the biggest series of the season. Felix can get this series off on the right foot by having a great start tonight. The key to winning these series' is going to be winning the first game of each series.

Every game the rest of the way is going to have huge importance. These 3 against the Houston and the next 3 with the Blue Jays could make or break us. Then we got the Twins who have been the worst team in baseball. So the next 9 games are going to be big time for the M's.

The last few days it was fun to watch some of the teams that are out of it help us out a little bit by beating some of the teams ahead of us or near us in the standings.

The Mariners gotta hit McHugh too. He's not having that great of a season, but the M's have struggled against him. Hopefully they can get to him early not only to build confidence, but to give Felix a little breathing room as well.

Twice before, ten games over .500, what happened? CHUNKED. Now up against Houston, where we ALWAYS seem to have a problem with them now, and what's happening?

Not that Felix deserves all the blame. Marte's two errors, and the 23rd by Seager, they don't help the cause much either.

Put that all together with the lack of bats, and the game was over before Felix was even done for the night.

Third time's the charm? Or three strikes, you're out? You decide.

To be honest the 0 bothers me more than the 6. I don't know why this team can't hit McHugh, other teams don't have a problem with it. You aren't going to win very many games when you score 0 runs.

It's the classic Mariners scenario, where it doesn't take much to suck the wind out of our sails. Pitching goes flat, the bats follow suit.

Thoroughly poor game in all phases. Good news is it only counts as 1 loss, and you just forget about it and go out tonight and play your best. Making the playoffs got a bit harder last night, but they were going to lose another game at some point. Still in it for sure.

you're absolutely right, figured they would lose at least 1 in this series and there it was. Just frustrating to watch Felix suck every time he needs to step up. If we made the one game play off I would not start Felix.
