Defensive Line Coach
Linebacker Coach

Special Teams Coordinator.

We know there will be a new Special Teams Coordinator, but anyone hearing a direction on the other open positions? Any rumors/thoughts that they may be filled from the previous staff?

Well I thought it was important for Hackett to have somebody competent to manage his Defense while he focused on the Offense. I hope Evero is that guy. He seems like he will be.

Raiders hired Champ Kelly as Assistant GM. A guy we interviewed last year and McDaniels is familar with from his days in Denver.

In general, I don't know how easy it makes me feel thinking all the O coaches are under 40. But maybe they are more relatable to the players at that age. Now we are going to have to do coach bed checks during training camp - too.

You have to understand that when you are talking to Mingo you are talking someone who remembers the Civil War. But he’s a cool geezer!

That was well after my time. I did suit up for the Cal/Stanford game of 1970. It was a big upset by Cal and QB Dave Penhall over Heisman winner Jim Plunket - Cal won 20-14. I spent most of the game trying to get eye contact with coeds in the stands (failed). Plunket won the Heisman over Joe Theisman and Archie Manning.
