Day to Day
As of today....
Chiefs 9-2
Patriots 8-3
Texans 8-3
Steelers 7-3-1
Chargers 8-3
Ravens 6-5
Chiefs 9-2
Patriots 8-3
Texans 8-3
Steelers 7-3-1
Chargers 8-3
Ravens 6-5
Excellent analysis but....how is Miami at Miami and Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh easier than the Texans' Colts, Jets, Phillie and Jags?I screwed up that last post....I amaze myself sometimes......
Anyway...............With the Steelers trying to swallow a Turkey bone last night, it really sets up the AFC North for a monster battle. The Steelers have two really tough games coming up. One against the Patriots and the second against the Saint. The Ravens have two monster games coming also, one against the KC Chiefs and one against the Chargers.
Pittsburgh 7-4-1
Baltimore 7-5
Steelers should go to church every day and thank whomever they believe in for that tie with the Browns.
If I were the Chiefs, I'd be going to church everydayand praying for mercy. They have the Chargers Thursday, then the Ravens followed by the Seahawk in Seattle before finishing against the Raders who gave them more that the Chiefs wanted yesterday. There's a real threat that the Chiefs might lose two out of their last four and the real possibility that they could lose three.
Kansas City 10-2
New England 9-3
Houston 9-3
Pittsburgh 7-4-1
LA Chargers 9-3
Baltimore 7-5
The Texans finish the year against the Colts, Jets, Eagles and Jaguars.
The Patriots finish against Miami, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and NYJ.
I would have to say the Patriots have the easiest finish of all the AFC Contenders. I think that the Chiefs will lose one if not two more games and could possibly end up as a wild card playing the Steelers in Pittsburgh. The Ravens might get bumped out of the playoffs by the Colts or the Titans. The winner gets to go to Houston.

Amazing week in the NFL. Sure are a lot of "What ifs"
Baltimore took KC to OT and couldn't finish. Not that KC looked like a beast. KC has 3 of their last 4 at home and will most likely have the #1 seed. Problem for them is that if they do get to the Super Bowl, it isn't being played at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Colts beat the Texans
The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Oakland Raiders.
The Patriots lost.
Three of the top four seeds lost when all were expecting to win somewhat easily.
Will the playoff picture change over the next three weeks? And who gets shown the door?
#1 Chiefs (11-2) & #2 Patriots (9-4) - BYE
#6 Ravens (7-6) @ #3 Texans (9-4)
#5 Chargers (10-3) @ #4 Steelers (7-5-1)
The Patriots could lose the BYE with a loss and the Texans finish undefeated. As long as they remain tie, the Patriots own the tiebreaker with a win over the Texans.
The Steelers could be out because they have a miserable schedule and can't afford to lose the next two against New England and New Orleans. Their final is against Cincinnati (5-8) who has Oakland and Cleveland before the Steelers and beating the Steelers could put them at 8-8 and Pittsburgh would be 7-8-1.
The Texans have the Jets, Eagles and Jaguars to finish. The Eagles are hanging by a thread and are clawing furiously to be in the playoffs. Horrible situation that often plagues Super Bowl Champions....they thought that they were unbeatable and got beat down.
Baltimore has the Bucs, Chargers and Browns left. They'll need to win 2 out of three to hold on to #6 or be knocked out by the Dolphins who have Minnesota, Jacksonville and the Bills remaining and could sweep.
Finally, the Chargers. They could end up #1 and bump the Chiefs to #5 with a win at Kansas City this week and then beating the Ravens and closing out with a win at Denver.

Next statement.......Andy Reid and the Cheifs had lost a playioff game the last six years in a row.
I'm sorry but your consistent misspelling of "Chiefs" is driving me nuts.

With that off my chest, if it's not going to be New England's year I guess I could tolerate Phillip Rivers winning a SB. Just the same, hopefully the Pats right the ship in time and break everybody's heart yet again.
As long as that pussy Ladanian Tomlinsen is not part of the team.....
It drives me nuts too. You have no idea how many times I've corrected and I still do it. I think it's that little.............i before e except after c, my brain just forgets the 'h'.
I'll try, I promise, I'll try.
You know what's funny is I had actually written that exact same thing and then deleted it before I posted. I'm so glad he never won a Super Bowl.
