William Jackson never was a Joe Haden, and at his age I would be surprised to see him being anything too useful.

While his bonus was paid, he has a 12 million dollar salary next year. So either he turns out to be a revelation or he might be cut this offseason. Swapping late round picks. No big deal in the end.
Good point. Total transparency here, I haven't followed him. Didn't even know he was in Washington lol. I thought he had a couple of good years in Cincy though?

I don't know enough about him specifically either. Being relatively anonymous for a CB could be good. Some Bengals fans could chime in soon?

Good enough to get a big contract with Washington. But also, it's Washington and they overpay for middling talent like they have the trademark.

Here's a good nugget pull... Last time Jackson was relevant in Cincy, guess who was his DC?

Teryl Austin

Teryl Austin didn't exactly have good defenses in Cincy though. He was a midseason fire in Skyline-ville.

He's a Steeler now, so I'm gonna hope he turns out well, so we don't have to use a 1st on a CB.

The Jackson trade is a joke. Wait a day and he’s free. They were gonna cut his ass. Tomlin is a dipshit.

Damn he must have really wanted to be here. This is a great low risk move.

I love the compensation from Claypool too. They got 2 1/2 years out of him and should get a slightly higher pick in return

Three likely picks in the top 50.

Now rebuild the OL before Pickett gets killed

If they draft a CB or WR in Rd1 I may have an aneurysm.

William Jackson -- We all liked him as a draft pick especially because we heard that Tomlin and Pittsburgh really wanted him. Felt like a steal. He missed his entire rookie season with a torn pec. In his second season, he had two excellent games against the Steelers (both losses mind you) and Antonio Brown. His PFF scores were through the roof on these games and were really good for the rest of the season. But the truth is that he really only played part time. He was injured a little and wasn't a starter most of the year. Once he became a full-time starter I think he was good but not great. He played on some terrible defensive teams that didn't have a good pass rush and couldn't stop the run, so I think he was cut some slack. He was mostly an asshole on his way out the door and I don't think anyone cared that we didn't re-sign him. We ended up getting Chido and Mike Hilton for less overall money than Washington gave to Jackson.

He's on the big side for a corner and he has long arms. Like mentioned above, he's probably better off in man rather than zone.
