This is one of those situations where you have to believe that most GMs simply aren't doing their due-diligence. If a player like that is available for fair compensation, then why the f*ck would you not be throwing your hat in the ring?

The only argument here is that the Bears chose to move him out of conference for the best deal on the table. I just find it hard to believe nobody offered better than a 5th in a package deal.
