@DJ - what's the sense with Raiders fans about relocation? Sounding more and more like momentum is building for Chargers and Rans to have an arranged marriage in LA. Think the Raiders stay in Oakland or ??

Think they stay in Oakland and the Rams to Inglewood and the Chargers to Carson.

I'd love it if the Raiders moved here (since I live in Long Beach) but I think they stay put. No way 3 teams move here.

So how do the Raiders then get a new stadium? That is what I have been trying to figure out as they do seem like the team that is most likely left out yet still needing a new stadium. It doesn't seem like Oakland wants to pony up the money and ownership is the poorest among all owners so they don't really have the funds.

Not sure how it's going to play out to be honest.....I don't have the answers. Just a gut feeling.

If all 3 do go to LA.....I think the Raiders share a stadium with the Rams. I don't see them sharing one with the Chargers and having 1 of those 2 move to the NFC. Too much history.

Got yah. Yeah I have no clue either. IT does seem though the NFL is really wanting San Diego and St. Louis to join together. I know Spanos said he would never do that but I just don't see how it happens any other way. Throw in if I were Spanos I wouldn't mind it too much. Sounds like Kroenke is going to put up most of the money so Spanos gets a shiny new stadium and pays very little for it. Now I know Kroenke has said he gets most of the profits but with what the NFL brings in Spanos would definitely still be making bank.

It truly is about impossible to tell how a rookie is going to do. I mean you have guys like Todd Gurley who look like you can build an offense around that individual player. But then the next guy drafted is Melvin Gordon who didn't look all that great year one. The 2nd leading rusher out of the rookies was Thomas Rawls who wasn't drafted.

For me personally I am torn in I love Ezekiel Elliot. I think he is a major game changer but at the same time I do look at Kubiak's history with no name RB's becoming house hold names in the NFL. I think I can be happy either way.

From what I have seen with Elliot, I agree .. The guy is going to be a major impact player in the NFL

What I'm reading is that the two owners of the transferring team pay $550MM and that a portion of that goes to help build a stadium for the Raiders.

Interesting. Well that would definitely get them closer. Right now not sure Mark Davis can put up much of anything money wise. So that would still leave probably close to $500 million needed for the new stadium. Now he can find sponsors to help out with the cost but even there I think he still comes up a bit short.

I keep waiting for Hillman to be at worst something like Tatum Bell was for us. Guy who went down easy but he sure did break a lot of home run like runs for us while here, but he hasn't even been that. I can only really think or 2 long TD runs Hillman has broke for us in his 4 years here, which is why we drafted him. He is just not good for the role we have for him. We can't depend on him to be a consistent back for us. To me he is more of a 3rd RB who can come in from time to time and see if a change of pace type can hit the long run. I feel like we have just had to depend on him too much this year, and I am really over him in that type of role. I think we need to move on. He isn't what I thought he was when we drafted him. I figured he could be a potential return man who breaks off a big run much like Tatum Bell when he was in here and catch some passes out of the backfield for us on 3rd down extending drives.

I do give him credit while he is not a great blocker he is willing blocker and he has saved us a few times this year when the LB is coming up the middle to nail the QB.

I just don't feel he provides what we were looking for when we drafted him. Elway seems to love him though. I really wish he had turned out better but I am ready to move on from Hillman. In fairness to him the role he is expected to fill this year is probably bigger then a RB his size should be depended on and he should have a different role on the team, but he just hasn't taken advantage of it IMO.

800 + yds rushing and 7 tds with a 4.2 yd avg and that`s splitting touches all season with CJ. I`am kind of baffled what you want in a rb. Those are good stats. Go ahead and look at all 32 teams and their rb production while splitting carries and tell me how many teams/rbs got that production from their rb. Not even mentioning his receiving contribution. In a pass oriented league anymore, that`s more than productive. Oh, sorry he hasn`t broke a 70 yd run every game, so he is deemed a bad back. Not sure I would want you to be in control of my 53 man roster. You prob would cut Hilman and bring in Injury prone Foster and higher price tag. ;)

PS...Out of the first 100 running backs in 2015,Hilman finished # 20. That is terrible. He also had a lot less touches than many of the 19 in front of him and a better avg per carry than many of them also.He sucks.

I want consistency. Like I said Hillman does nothing for me at this point.

Foster doesn't either- It was a prediction...

Ahhh yes, the old internet message board comment about not wanting another poster in control of the 53 man roster. So clever!

P.S. Go back and read my first post. I never said I wanted Foster. I just predicted it will happen.

I stressed in the first post for that exact reason cause I know how yall on message boards like to put words in other peoples mouth.. It wasn't a "I hope we sign Arian Foster" It was a "I bet we sign Arian Foster". Go back and read.

You're being a little bit of a drama queen about Hillman. I don't think anyone ever said they expected him to score 70 yard td runs every week.

I have my opinion on him. You have yours. Try not to be so sensitive if I don't agree, afterall that is what a message board is for, right?

He does nothing for me. He isn't good after contact and he doesn't strike fear into any defenses... I want a more fearful back on an every down basis that helps open up the passing game.

SpringStein could run for 800 yards in the NFL in today's league. That isn't that eye popping. Not saying it is bad or anything dramatic like that, but I am looking for a better RB next year then Ronnie Hillman. We can do much better. He's a stop gap.

Oh yeah and if you think Foster will cost a ton then someone is doing a terrible GM job... A to be 30 year old RB coming off various injuries the past 4 -5 seasons?

He is gonna be a cheap get. Low risk type of signing only.

You just acted like I was calling for a 5 year multi million dollar deal for Arian Foster or something.

This is merely a cheap prediction due to the fact that Foster's coaching staff at Houston is now in Denver.

I am guessing Foster doesn't get more than a one year low deal contract from anyone at this stage.

We really need a RB who strikes fear into defenses that will help open up the pass game. Nobody fears Hillman.

I am in the same boat as LGM enough with the retreads... Go get our young stud... Add the others for depth. Let CJ Anderson get his carries, but even he is banged up a lot. Can't give him 20 carries a game.

Devontae Booker would be a pro bowl back in our system.

I'm on the Booker bandwagon - but think there will be other options that we will take other than RB that early. But I'd be excited if we somehow ended up with him.

Wow! Release the hounds! :) Just out of curiosity, which running backs this year in NFL would you consider the guy that strikes fear in a defense? Any of them in the playoffs? :)

Let me guess. You're a San Diego State alum. ;)

Adrian Peterson
Le'Veon Bell/ DeAngelo Williams
Jamaal Charles
Todd Gurley
Doug Martin
Marshawn Lynch
Thomas Rawls
Chris Ivory
Jeremy Hill
David Johnson
LeSean McCoy
Matt Forte

I mean Latavius Murray and Jonathan Stewart were among the leading rushers this year so probably have to include them as they were very effective this year.

I can think of a lot more backup RB's I would want running the rock then Ronnie Hillman.

Not calling Hillman trash, but he is a dime a dozen RB who can't break tackles, doesn't show much ability to break the long ones and has cost us games with fumbling issues.

He was a stop gap this year.

We need to do better.

He belongs on an NFL roster, but he is way too inconsistent and not good enough to carry the ball as much as he did this year. We can do better.

I mean not saying they struck "fear" into NFL defenses this year but other starting RB's I would put higher then Hillman

TJ Yeldon
Charcandrick West
Jeremy Langford
Justin Forsett/Buck Allen
Alfred Morris/Matt Jones
Mark Ingram/CJ Spiller
Murray/Mathews

I would put Hillman into that 30-40 range of RB's in the NFL... A lot of teams have a better #2 RB then Ronnie Hillman. C.J. Anderson is our best RB but can't stay healthy.

I mean hell give me Jerrick McKinnon over Ronnie Hillman.

With all of this being said I hope Hillman has the game of his life on Sunday. I'd be a happy camper.

Hard to put Melvin Gordon on this list after a bad rookie year.

Look,

We fed Hillman the ball a lot this year. He had his best year production wise. I have seen a lot worse at RB, but we just need to do better at that position to be a better football team.

Big Smile. No but I actually lived in SD ( 1-7 yrs old ) but never jumped on SD sports really. Look DC, I get your " want " for that type back which Denver hasn't really had since TD and as a big rb fan I would too but I still don't think you've given Hilman enough kudos. I agree he was the back you described earlier ( no power, down with first contact, etc) but the last two seasons the guy has been surprisingly tough between the tackles. I just think he deserves the respect. Would I be surprised or bummed if they released him? No, but He might not be as easy to replace as you think. We might be having a different discussion next yr if they do release him about his value to the team compared to his replacement. 867 yrds behind that line. Pretty tough to do. I'd still like you to say your sorry and give Ronnie a " virtual" hug DC ;)

I hope I am .. :) I hope Hillman goes nuts and wins super bowl MVP. If he doesn't ill fly wherever you're and give you a huge and maybe even a little smooch on the forehead. ;)

Our Iowa legend QB Chuck Long coached at SD State. I had a nice connection to them with a D coach, always tried to help them land a DB transfer when he was there. I like that program. Usually has a player or two I like to watch.

For the record. I loved Ronnie Hillman at SD State.
