Because he's overrated like hell. And the hell with McCarron, that guy has Alex Smith written all over him. Or worse. Give me the kid that has an incredible drive and work ethic. If that's what the reports says about either Bridgewater or Boyd, I'd take them in a heartbeat. I wouldn't even compare them to VY.

I'm all for getting Bridgewater.

Since coming back from the ledge, I've decided to try and think of a better view to have on the situation, and it's this - Under the old regime, there were never any shrewd moves made to build for the future. Browns fans were furious (myself included) when they took all of these picks in 2013 and traded them for 2014 picks. The positive thing is that A. The 2014 draft is thought to be a deeper draft than 2013 and B. They moved ahead a round with each trade (5th rounder for a 4th; 4th rounder for a 3rd). So, that is a positive.

I was ecstatic when we took Richardson, but to be fair, it's a guy who has averaged 3.5 ypc so far in his career, and he has a lot of injury concerns. Looking at the top RBs in the NFL, most of them were taken well after the top 20 picks in their draft (which the Browns will likely get with the Colts' pick). It's obvious that we will be addressing the RB position in the 2014 draft along with the QB spot. Setting ourselves up with 2 first round picks to get a QB/RB or QB/WR could work out rather well.

I think Browns' fans will look back at yesterday in 5 years as the day our team went from embarrassing to a completely hopeless pile waiting to be moved, or the day we took a definitive step to look ahead and move forward. The 2014 draft cannot get here soon enough.
