I don’t know why you’re getting angry. I don’t think you understand the difference between a 3-4 and a 4-3 and why a washed 4-3 defensive end really has no position in a 3-4. I don’t know why you’re telling me that I’m dumb when you don’t understand the nuances of the great game of football. You can have the last word and I’ll just laugh at you losing your shit over a guy who doesn’t even play for the Cowboys anymore.
Jesus you are dumb as a brick. I was not talking about him actually signing with Philly. I was talking about him playing for a team set up to win next year. You are special needs slow

I don't think Lawrence is totally washed up but he's clearly on the downside.

As for Dallas, obviously the problems start with Jerry. I do think his handling of contracts to core players has been poor. He dallied on Dak and ultimately paid way more for a player that he could have signed to an extension sooner. By the time he did it, Dak was actually starting to decline physically. He is simply not the same player anymore, now that he scrambles less and is just a static pocket passer. He's a Kirk Cousins level player now.

There's been some bad luck for Dallas too, in fairness. They signed Trevon Diggs to a big deal that ate up a lot of cap, and that might have been OK, if he hadn't gotten hurt. Now he is a question mark after another offseason surgery.

He's going to a team that has ownership that let coaches , coach, and achieved success in the last decade.
not arguing this either.
But again also not the reason or point why Dlaw left.

They have $48M in cap space and once Micah is extended they will have about $10M more than that. They could have signed any 2 or 3 of the free agents signed this week. If you ask me the Jones Boyz have a cash problem, not a cap problem. They either don't have it or don't want to part with it
Curious as to why you think Jerry has cash problems. Not saying you're wrong just wondering.

They have a problem spending cash. They refuse to do it. Then They tell everyone about every penny they spend. The last two years in a row they kept saying they spent more than any other team even though they were proven wrong.Whether that’s because they don’t have the cash (there is a huge difference between cash and wealth) or don’t want to part with it I don’t know. there is a lot of talk about Jerry being sued by various people. Who knows.

Dallas has sucked out loud for the better part of 30 years and they want to cry when called out on it?

Look inward.

Well while I am a bit surprised Lawrence was an agitator but while getting paid he was quiet about it to the press. When you’re outside of your window of effective leadership and the team is not going to have you around……. The way you really feel along with the urge to strike out bubbles to the top pretty fast.
Considering the fact that Jerry can help players to continue to make money after being a Dallas Cowboy I think he burned a bridge.

C'est la vie and the NFL saga of “As the Cowboy’s turn” rolls along

Preaching to the Choir for long time Cowboys fans. Most of us just hope we can get another SB in spite of Jerry. He wants to win but only his way no matter what. The ghost of firing Jimmy and having limited success ever since minus the one SB with Jimmys team eats Jerry to his effing Core!

Dallas will bounce back once Jerry stops running the show, he gets way too involved… The guy wants to win, he just doesn’t make the best football decisions, and he’s not getting any younger … Hire good football minds and get outta there way … That’s what I loved about Paul Allen as an owner, he was hands off, let the football guys run things .. Jerry thinks he’s a good GM, but he would have fired himself long ago, If Jerry wasn’t him …

The Cowboys under Jerry have drafted very well. You can't have the talent they have had over the past several years without knowing how to acquire talent. But they did not handle contracting. They strung out Dak for way too long and then ended up paying top of the market. I don't understand how a poster can claim a QB with a $44 million cap hit in 2024 and $53 million next season has not affected the Cowboys' ability to sign players.

I do believe all the sideshow crap, like allowing fans to walk by and gawk at the players as they work out, does have an impact on a team. I can't not have an impact IMO. They paid Cee Dee, they paid Dak and now they will have to pay Micah or lose him. This is not a recipe for a deep roster and lasting success.
