Thought this was an interesting article I found. How different things would have gone if the NHL used the IIHF 3 point scoring system instead of the system currently in place? I know Boson is in favor of the IIHF system.

I may be in the minority here but quit rewarding teams for losses. So what if you went into overtime. If you lose. You lose.

This is a ridiculous idea. We're trying to grow the game. Sports fans will never be passionate about a game where there are ties.

I mean look at soccer. Basically no one in the world has ever heard of it!!!

Personally I think NHL point system should honor its soon to be new franchise in Vegas - have the referee roll one of those huge fuzzy dice at center after the anthem(s) are done. Whatever it lands on, that is the number of points the winner will get. Then have the other zebra roll the same dice again. Whatever the second roll is will be the number of points the loser gets. This is a great idea is it eliminates tanking if the losing team gets more points than the winning team does.
