15 hits and 11 runs... nice. Only 3 runs allowed through 8... even better!

This is a bad Angel team.

Evidently but at least they have almost a half billion invested in one player. What could go wrong with that, right?

I wonder if our clueless announcers realized Mazara is not in the lineup tonight.

What’s up with Keuchel still a FA?

Price tag too big with Boras as his agent?

One of the idiots not named Dave earlier, was talking about him being out of the lineup w a hamstring issue. Most everyone, not in the Rangers organization knew yesterday it was a quad issue. These two are absurd

I figured people wouldn’t get mad and troll me since we’re all thrilled with the results of the team so far.

Here’s my comparison of the last coaching staff to the new one.

Hitting :
Previous regime - Iapoce came in here guns blazing. He blatantly ignored or overlooked situational hitting throughout his tenure. Guys didn’t seem to improve under his tutelage. Odor got sent down to the minors once and should’ve been sent down another time. The strikeouts mounted, not enough balls were put in play, walks were not earned.

Current coaching staff- the team approach is emphasized. Guys are told that walks are important and how they can not only help the team, but also force pitchers to give you better pitches next time around if you prove that you won’t swing at their garbage pitches. The importance of situational hitting is addressed, I saw more rangers hitters try to hit sacrifice flies tonight then I did anytime the last few seasons.

Pitching :

Old coaching staff - Somewhere I’m imagining Doug Brocail hanging out in the club house with a 6 pack of beer and a huge box of KFC in hand. He’s asked why the pitching is struggling. He shrugs his shoulders and says that the coaching and the approach is amazing, but the guys just aren’t getting results. Darvish seemed to regress under Brocail. Hamels wasn’t really much of an ace while we had him. Perez did so bad that he needed a change of scenery to try and salvage his career.

New coaching staff - I’m willing to give these guys some slack because we have so many pitchers coming off TJ surgery.

Manager :

Old regime - had an imposing socially awkward man who told the team to “never ever quit guys”. The unfortunate thing is that they did. The rangers barely won any games when they were tied or trailing in the 6th. Lost a lot of really dumb and boneheaded challenges.

New regime - socially aware manager who is approachable. Seems to have good knowledge of the game. Players seem to be buying in.

A lot of money being wasted now on Davis. I was watching that game on YES network and Baltimore's manager made a mistake when he pulled Alex Cobb out of the game with 2 outs in the 6th after giving up a HR. Wright came in and gave up 3 runs and then another base hit before he was pulled. Cobb's stuff was looking nasty.
While I am at it, Mike Scioscia's teams underperformed. But Brad Ausmus is garbage to me. He did nothing with what was at the time a very good team in Detroit.

Can one of you reach thru the computer and pinch me because the Rangers can't really be 5-2. Enjoying it while I can. A couple of G's got us going in the 1st. With Volquez pitching we needed that.

The team still sucks and won't win 60 games this year.

Did the Dave and CJ ever get their heads out of their asses long enough to report what Ausmus was chirping to the umps about in the first inning? That was really odd that they huddled and then broke with nothing changing.

Was Scioscia fired or retired?
