Since I posted taht this team is terrible and won't win 60 games, they have been lights out.

So just need to point out that none of our starters would be on the ML rotation of any other team

You guys can joke about it if you want, but I doubt very many people on the board or elsewhere think this team would be 5-2 right now or even have a winning record if Banny was still calling the shots. We still don’t know if Banny was stubbornly keeping odor up when he should’ve been sent down last year or if it was the front offices decision. If we’re going to be good again, amateur hour shit like the scenario mentioned above must stop.

Will they keep it up? Nobody knows and that’s what makes it fun. I’m just enjoying better than expected baseball from the team while it lasts. I checked out the last 2 years because I hated Banny and the coaches, but I might watch more games this year than I first expected.

That is just too long and expensive of a contract. I feel he will be their Pujols at the back end of that contract.

Agree and in another way he may be now if money is so tight they can't bring in better players along the way.

Pujols is another problem for sure. Trout could very well earn his money and play through his contract but a lot can happen in 12 years. See Fielder and Arod.

Ideally, I would like to see two of those closest four make their debuts this year and the other two sometime next year.

Unfortunately, that may require a season ending injury for that to happen this year.

Pretty good odds based on the starting staff we've collected... luckily we have no commitment to any of them but Minor (til 2020 @ 9 million total) and Lynn (til 2021 @ 18 million total) after this season

I can't muster up that much hope. Maybe Minor. Even if Lynn is decent I think they want to keep him longer unless some team bowls them over. I don't think Lynn will be good enough for a team to do that.
