AP preseason #18, interesting trend

By the way, I don't know if you all noticed, but that new trend I was talking about.......it already started last season.

tOSU started #18 and ended #3. They also went undefeated.

I just went and looked back at SOS for those teams that were #18.........no wonder they all fell out of the top 25.

75% of them had SOS's ranked in the teens or better......a few more were ranked in the top 30.

Nebraska's preseason SOS is #66 according to Phil Steele. There was one team who had an easier schedule than Nebraska and that was Boise State in 2005 with a SOS of #92......they went 9-4. That is not too surprising.

Pelini's got 6 weeks to climb back in before the November stretch. They're not gonna get a lot of credit for beating the likes of SDSU, Illinois, Purdue so I wouldn't expect higher than #20.

If things aren't fixed before Nortnwestern and Michigan they could get the knockout blow.

Pelini has never finished better than 50%.
