Anyone Think McCarron Could Eventual Start For Cincy?

Was just on twitter with NFL Network and Jamie Dukes and there was this....

"I would not be surprised if A.J. McCarron was the starting QB by year's end."

We were going back and forth on the subject and i also think there is a good chance for McCarron if Dalton doesn't improve especially postseason. Dalton gets paid too much for what he has actually done.

Hasn't even played a preseason game yet. Backup QB's are always popular with struggling teams.

But being an Alabama fan, it would be pretty awesome if he did. I pull for him.

Yeah, but I don't see him as even average- so there's a problem there too. Nice backup prospect, however. I have a similar outlook for Aaron Murray if he ever starts. Bottom line is, Cincy probably should find a new QB if and when the opportunity presents itself at this point. Dalton has had O-lines, WR's, etc. Hasn't done much to inspire confidence.

Agreed...I think Murray is probably more capable of carry the team than McCarron only because that was the OFC at UGA but neither imo are better than Dalton and your comments on him spot on...imo Dalton gives Mike Brown exactly what he wants...a competitive regular season team....doubtful Dalton gets replaced if he continues to win 9-10 games a year.
