Okay so after the Islanders get Comeau, Bailey & Wishart locked up they're going to have to spend about 4 million bucks to reach the cap floor.

Garth has said he will trade for a defenseman. He'd like to add a forward or two as well.

Garth gave the Ducks a 3rd round pick for the Wiz last year. So I'm expecting a similar deal.

So who are your salary dump blueliners? Yes Canucks fans I know Ballard can be had. I don't know if Garth wants him though.

I would say, "not a chance," but after the pre-draft events, who knows. It seems that Homer is trying to shift the team mindset to defense and goaltending - so I'm assuming he will keep his d-corps intact to play in front of Bryz.

Players will begin arriving tomorrow for prospect camp. The Blue vs White game will take place on the 16th.

Riopel has his work cut out for him with Kevin Poulin, Anders Nilsson & Mikko Koskinen already ahead of him in the system. Garth & Co will definately give him a look though. From looking at his stats Riopel played well last year in the East Coast league. After last season the Isles can't possibly have enough depth in goal. They started 6 different goalies.

Peter Harrold?? He can't possibly be a salary dump. Come on at least offer up Drewiske. Heck I'd give up something worthwhile for Voinov, but I doubt Lombardi would trade him.

The Isles don't have their 4th they traded it to Vancouver. They do have Buffalo's 4th though.

The Devils would have to take back some salary. The Isles aren't going to go that much above the cap floor, if at all & Rolston would put them 1 million over the floor.
