Anyone else think Tiger is faking it?

I find it pretty amusing that several folks here and elsewhere complain about Tiger getting too much coverage & being irrelevant yet appear to talk about him all of the time.

If you believe he is faking it, washed up or whatever - fine - move on. There are lots of other great golfers and stories out there. If Tiger is a non-factor this weekend the story will die out during that time & the focus will be on Rory & whoever else is in contention at the time. Enjoy.

It's official - Tiger just announced he is playing tomm. Hope he doesn't embarrass himself.

I would love to focus on the greatness of golf, but one of the best ever is being a weenie and crying because he's been getting his ass beat.

While the media picks everyone else apart, I find it pretty funny how they continue to cater to Tiger and kiss his ass.

ON Saturday and sunday it will be Tiger free so you and I and the world can focus on the best players playing, while Tiger is at home crying. Hell he might go double double on Thursday and QUIT.

IF you are borderline in health and just dropped out of tourney on SUNDAY, why even try a few days later? For credibility?

All I will say in this thread is it is very important for him to finish this tournament regardless of how he is feeling/playing.

He isn't going to finish if he's way back watch. He will pull out. He doesn't need the money. If he's not close to the lead, he's gonna take his ball and go home.

I think the PGA championship should be an event that showcases players that have won tour events this year. Tiger has not won a major since 2008, only one top 25 finish in 5 events this year.

Why do they call it a PGA Championship?

The golf networks seem to be having a difficult time putting Tiger in the rear view mirror. He was their cash cow for so long.

Now, his body as well as his game has come up :lame:.
Despite his current ineptitude Tiger still brings in high ratings.

They call it the PGA championship because it's the PGA's major. Like the USGA has the US open. Royal and ancient has the British open. And your local PGA pros can qualify for it.

20 or so PGA club pros will play in this tourney.

I suggested this here last year and everyone said I was crazy.

Now, please understand I am a Tiger fan.....so I'm not trying to bash him.

But it seems to me like he seriously is bitching and moaning more than any other golfer out there.

That's what the Tournament of Champions at Kapalua is for. Some of the guys eligible don't even show up for that one. This is run by the PGA of America not the PGA Tour.. They're 2 separate organizations. You don't even have to be a touring pro to qualify. There are several club pros who play in it every year, qualifying through the a club pro tournament.

It's okay to bash him but it seems like that because every move, every word has a camera or a mic around. Most guys can suck in solitude. Geoff Olgivy damn near fell off the map and nobody knew until he won last week.

Bubba is the biggest whiner on tour.

This, and only this is the reason The Players keeps getting push to become a major. The PGAT wants a major they can call their own...but they're weren't pushed out...they chose to leave.

He doesn't appear to be putting well today: four bogeys through 13, and two of them on par 3's.

The pain comes and goes. I predict it forces him to withdraw after today.

I dunno, there's some awful high scores out there right now, so he may be close to the cut line by the end of the day...

...meaning he'll probably pull out tomorrow right before it becomes evident that he's going to miss it.

No argument here. He really has become a petulant child on tour.

For a little fun, during Tuesdays practice round they decided to make the 10th hole a long dive contest. He was upset about it, so the tool that he is pulls out a 3 iron in protest.

And then of course my boy Harrington saves the day.

Bubba is an emotional guy, and sometimes seems genuine in that he realizes they are fortunate to be out there playing for large amounts of other peoples money...no problem with that, but he's spoiled.

He is really digressing into his early form. Prior to & just after winning his 1st Masters, he seemed to have calmed & humbled himself. Sorry to see the old (young) Bubba coming out.

Tiger 9 shots back. A lot of players at -4 or better. Tiger not even close. If makes a double early, he's gonna take his ball and go home.

Just made some terrible swings today. Deep in the gallery. But at least he didn't grab his back every time he hit a bad shot.
