My head says the Colts are going to look like a one legged man in a butt kicking contest Saturday. Toler went on IR Sunday and they will likely start Josh Gordy at CB. Pagano is stubborn and I imagine they will play press coverage. They have all year, so why go zone now? I woke up from a nightmare where Brady had 400 yards passing and they ran the ball for another 150 yards.

Still, my heart holds out hope. Somehow, I have this silly notion that young Andrew will find a way to do it again. Not voting with my wallet mind you. Just hoping.

This is a team that was extensively retooled before the start of last season, & now they've lost their main veteran offensive "anchor": What's happening now should be no surprise.

These things take time. I waited for nearly two decades for them to get to be a regular championship contender the 1st time around: I have no problem giving them a couple of seasons to find their way back there again.

We have had pretty good "luck" with CFL players Grigson brought in. I see no way to fill all the holes through the draft in one season. May take more than two. I love their success and spirit, but we could also use a draft or two working from the top instead of the bottom. And yes, not taking Lacy still pisses me off a bit. Oh well, The Germinator has been injured most of the season. Next year, we will see.

None of the remaining games are certain.

Hey now, the kid is not that ugly without the beard. He is obviously balding. He is a 15 year vet at football speak. I watch all his interviews just to marvel at all the cliches and the fact that he never tells the public anything.

I don't feel bad for him. Pagano is a hell of a coach. Vastly underrated.

If Luck were on the Chiefs they'd be in the SB this year IMO. Same with the Bengals.

Not with how stubborn Sutton is as DC... talent or not. That was made evident when Indy made adjustments and scored 35 in the 2nd half after being held to 10 the first half.

To answer the OP, no, I absolutely have no sympathy for Luck, he is the best QB prospect since Elway, he gets what he has earned. And I must admit, he has earned quite a bit.

That is pretty big of you my friend. Here is to a better 2014 season. Although, when you think about it, going from 2 wins to 11 is pretty spectacular. I said before the season I was worried we had you guys on the schedule. You have tremendous talent. All those guys going down with injuries took its toll.

I understand that sentiment, but I also think of the world of Luck's ability, and with ability comes expectations. The reality is when you are the #1 pick as a QB more often than not, that team quite bluntly is bad (The Colts are quickly remedying the situation from ground zero though, imo). What Luck has done is remarkable and is certainly praise worthy, but I fall short of sympathy which is what was asked.

Yeah I know, Brady is doing it with a patchwork of receivers too. The Colts just mystify me. One series, they could not run the ball if they had Superman in the backfield. They next they run for 3 first downs. Defenders blow through the middle of our line like it was tissue paper and Luck is hit before he brings the ball up to pass. Then they give him all day on another one. It is like they have a Jekyl and Hyde button and some sadistic bastard on the sidelines keeps punching it.

Then there is our defense.....
