Luck is a very good QB. The cards are very tough to beat at home. Not to mention, they're really starting to gel right now. Lucks overall body of work, although not very long, has been well above average. He has a bright NFL future

When you start a thread like this you're opening yourself up to a lot of different opinions. So what's the point of getting angry and defensive when people respond expressing an opinion that is different than yours

Luck is a solid QB. He basically is the Colts the last 2 years. They've overachieved with what little talent they've got. He isn't a top tier QB though. You can't waltz in and sit down at the Brady/Brees/Rodgers/Manning table. It takes a few years to earn that.

I think that game against the Broncos did them in. They put to much into it to make SURE they beat Payton and, in retrospect, they've sucked since.

It may not matter, though. They're in a tough division.
The Cards are on a 4 game winning streak. I can only hope that my 9ers will be able to keep pace and make it to the playoffs. The only thing going against the Cards at this moment is being 0-3 in the division. I still and always will pull for the NFC West teams ( beside my betting that the Cards lose to the Colts  )

How is it not matter? They currently hold the 6th spot and seem to be a better team than the 9ers at this point of the season.

This is a team that was extensively retooled before the start of last season, & now they've lost their main veteran offensive "anchor": What's happening now should be no surprise.

These things take time. I waited for nearly two decades for them to get to be a regular championship contender the 1st time around: I have no problem giving them a couple of seasons to find their way back there again.

The thing that annoyed me the most was all these talking heads claiming he was already great. QBs that are "great" don't have sub 60% completion rate and a QB rating just south of 80.

Edit: Scratch the QB rating its at 87. But what he is doing this afternoon it may drop near 80.

I don't think its so easy to make these judgement's based upon a couple numbers. The Colts are one of the few solid/good teams (like the Packers or Broncos), that would be completely un-competitive with their QB out (like GB now). The Colts D is below average at best, they have no running game, only one receiver with consistent hands now that Wayne is gone, and a weak O-line. Ive followed Luck fairly closely since college, and if you watch what he does when he is on the field you may think he has potential to be great.

For a rebuilding team, in 2012 & 13, they were way ahead of the curve of where they should be. With all the injuries they have had, it is no surprise that the offense has come back down to earth. The Colts defense is what should be the most worrying part of this team.

Luck is a very good young QB. Two thirds of the GM(s) in the NFL would give up "the farm" to have him on their team. But when you only have minimal talent around a young QB, your results are going to be less than spectacular.

If Luck were on the Chiefs they'd be in the SB this year IMO. Same with the Bengals.

I only have sympathy for him being so ugly. I hope Saturday night I can have sympathy that his season is over.
