for the Sabres - Thrashers game last night in Hotlanta? 8,820 patrons. Now I realize it's a mid week game and we're right in the middle of baseball playoffs, but this is still quite troubling.

This is why I have a road trip planned down to Atlanta to watch the Caps play. Tickets Price for lower level+Gas Price=less than Caps Tickets in the Upper level

Yeah I was watching the game on Center Ice and was thinking where the hell is all the fans? No one wanted to watch them take on Buffalo. Unheard of. I mean The Miller was in net. The building should have been jam packed. :D

Funny part is, when they showed crowd shot's I swear there were more Sabres jersey's than Thrashers jersey's. Sad.

I really think Bettman's experiment down south is failing.

Well it all starts and ends with stable ownership and competent management. Unfortunately, the Thrashers have had neither (at least Rick Dudley is now the GM instead of that clown Waddell).

Now let's take a look at the Preds - local community ownership with a very good GM in David Poile and the team has built a loyal and solid fanbase.

9802 (Yeesh). Well, hopefully it will pick up once beisbol is over.

This is Columbus. It will pick up once the Buckeyes humiliate themselves in a big bowl game.

Baseball makes no difference. :)

I believe there was 15k last night for the game vs Calgary. Which is common for a Tuesday night game. The fanbase is loyal, but it could be bigger. I say it's loyal because the attendance usually stays the same (14k-16k). Saturday night games are usually sold-out though.

I can't believe there was only 9k at the Columbus game. I thought they had a pretty good fanbase up there...and with hockey being more popular up north.

Speaking of attendance, I heard Michigan State and Michigan were playing at the Big House and 105,000 tickets were already sold...?

It was only Anaheim, and the locals are a little ticked off at Nationwide's "hey, you taxpayers should buy the arena and we'll pay to put our name on it" thing.

They usually start light and pick up. Especially when they play teams that matter. The Anaheim game was not part of any of their partial season ticket packages. A lot of people bought 6 game plans that included Detroit and San Jose. Those games should be packed. Team 43 will be going to those.

Plus, Wednesday night is $5 Adult drop in night at the Chiller. Pay 50 bucks to watch Teemu or pay five to pretend to BE Teemu?

And I will be there.

Need me to move the cannon to point at the visitor's press box?
