Heat fans have no room to bash any other fan base after leaving an NBA Finals game early. That was pathetic quite honestly.

The dumb part, was them thinking security were going to let them come back in.

Seriously? Do you watch basketball? The cavs have the second youngest team and one of the most promising rosters. I'd take the cavs roster over the heats at this point going forward. If lebron left the heat guess what...they would be irrelevant....again!

Post rosters and ages and anything else you want. The point is it is only a matter of time before the team is completely irrelevant again as a result of Gilbert's inability to evaluate, acquire and keep talent. I would site the city being uninhabitable as a major reason (which it is to a point) but Detroit has Rings from 2 different teams.

Shaneman (whom I usually agree with) citing the 2-2 record and the quality victory over the struggling Nets is all the proof you can ask for when referring to the Cavs relevance.

Anyone that thought the Cavs were going to be good this year (or any year) don't know very much about basketball.

Very true, they probably wouldn't get outta the 1st round.

Yes but they won one with out him, the Cavs couldn't win one with him. While you root for your teams and players you are actually rooting for GMs and Owners. Just like the players have to prove they can win one (which is BS) the GMs and Owners are the ones really pulling the strings (of course until the Heat's big 3 got together and took matters into their own hands).

We may not all agree that LBJ is a better player than Kobe is, but I think we can all agree that there is no way he is better and the Lakers managed to win 3 with Kobe still in diapers. Cavs had prime 2 time MVP LBJ and couldn't put enough around him.

I did and still do think they will be a top 5 seed, NYK are about to melt down (as I predicted) and I think they earn that spot regardless of the health of Bynum (as long as the rest of the team remains healthy). But in no way do I think that makes them relevant. You need to be a true contender to earn that title IMO.

I think the Nets are too talented and too veteran to not earn a good seed but time will tell.

Heat, Pacers and yes the Bulls will be 1, 2, and 3 not necessarily in that order. The rest is all up in the air with younger hungry teams probably taking bites out of extremely flawed teams (NYK) and extremely ancient teams (BK).

Interesting..you do know that Dan Gilbert and Chris grant have done a masterful job to this point? Considering how horribly managed the heat are (your gold standard). I'll repeat myself. The cavaliers have multiple high draft picks to come, have enough cap space to sign 2 max deals and have the second youngest roster in the nba with 4 top 4 picks in the last 3 years. They also picked up Bynum while the heat picked up oden. Meanwhile the heat have 0 cap space, 0 draft picks and a roster that should be in hospice care. Lebron will jump that ship ASAP if he has any brains. But your right, clearly Dan Gilbert has no idea what he's doing...smh

If they had done a masterful job until this point LBJ would still be in Cleveland earning titles. They had the best player in the league to build around for 7 years.

How horribly managed the Heat are? You do know they have been to the finals each of the last 3, won the last 2, and have gotten better each year? They have also been to the finals 4 of the last 8 winning 3 of those. All under Riley's watch (and a ring with out LBJ).

You did get your FA facts right, the Heat picked up Oden and the Cavs picked up Bynum. What you seem to forget is the Heat are back to back winners and still trying to improve any little way they can, where as the Cavs have not been contenders since LBJ was there.

And I hope you are right that LBJ leaves for greener pastures or the Heat do more to restructure their current rosters and bring in some younger talent. I do not root for franchises, I root for players.

I did not say Gilbert "has no idea what he's doing", I think he completely understands what he is doing. If it is to win titles though he is extremely handicapped by his own incompetence and the anti-destination city of Cleveland.

Also I do not totally consider the Heat as the gold standard, they are up there if your goal is to win rings though.

I consider Red Auerbach the gold standard, Dr. Buss, and the Spurs gold standards. The Heat are up the list but only because of Pat Riley, but the owner is paying so it is clear Micky Arison has a gold standard as well. I think Bird is going to be a gold standard. I think that russian guy has a gold standard but outside of his spending he has yet to prove he has hired and listened to the right people.

I wouldn't say the heat have gotten better, that would be stretching it. Aside from the addition of Ray Allen and Chalmers and cole getting a little better. The rest aged poorly, bosh was pedestrian in the playoffs along with wade to a degree. Lebron HAS gotten better every year. By poorly managed I mean cap management. The only way to keep this team together is for the big 3 to take another pay cut. They're still not getting any younger. They're handcuffed to free agency until this team is dissembled. Which is fine if your gonna win now. The future looks turdy though.

It's funny you should say that because 'turdy' is how the Cavaliers franchise has looked throughout their entire existence before and after LeBron.

Some sports teams are just destined to be perennial failures and, unluckily, Cleaveland has 2 of them.

Btw Michael Jordan wouldn't be Michael Jordan if he hadn't constantly beat the cavs with buzzer beaters. I guess contending with the 90's bulls year after year isn't good enough for you. A guy who roots for a team that lost to the old spurs in the finals last year..according to heat fans :laugh3:

Well yeah, but we are comparing the city of Cleveland and the city of Miami and LA. Hife difference, does someone want to settle down in shit Cleveland...no way. Lebron was only there, bc he grew up in Akron 45 minutes from Cleveland.

And y'all won bc you were able to get a primetkme player in Shaq, and that goes back to the city. It is a big part of the GM, but the city and how stable the franchise is is what attracts these players, besides the money.

Totally agree they are at a disadvantage due to the city, a lot of cities have that disadvantage. San Antonio to a much lesser extent and then Detroit.

and getting beat by Jordan every year is your argument of relevance?

Look, bottom line you guys much better than usual and you should enjoy that. My opinion is just an opinion that I think I have justified fairly well. Either way, enjoy your team!!
