If TW is not traded or cut, and he decides NOT to play the 2020 season for the Skins, do we still own his rights heading into 2021? Does he accrue a season without playing?

It'd be like last season, he’d have to show up with like 6-8 games left in order for it to count.

No, he actually has to play in order to get paid and get credit for a season played. Now, there are the tricks of the trade to be considered, one being Washington placing him on one of the NFI exempt lists. Another, being benched for poor play or the ever reliable "injured/hurt" option for the player after reporting to play.

he doesnt get the accrued season if he sits out , he has to play and the new CBA is harder on that

Yes. If he doesn't play, we still own his rights.

I just don’t see Seattle have the cap to do a trade. I think the Vikings are still players, as well as the Browns and possibly Jags but all have top 10 picks. If Miami drafts a QB they seem like the WC pick that makes the most sense

NFL Cap Space | NFL Trade Rumors

But Jags and Seahawks strapped for cash

Interesting. There's been talk that Reiff might be released - because he's scheduled to make 10.9 mil this season. There's also talk that he might be better off at guard. Riley Reiff - Pro Football Rumors If he is released, he'll be in demand - but at less than 10.9 mil. So, it's a tough question. Let's face it, we're not exactly a prime spot for most free agents, so if he becomes a free agent, we gat him only if we overpay. So, I probably say yes to the trade - though I'm not real enthusiastic about it. But that's just my uneducated guess.

I feel he will most likely be moved during the draft once teams miss out on top LTs on the board or not at all until training camp when someone gets injured.

that would mean we wont fetch a good price for him in regards to a 2020 draft pick . so we are looking at 2021

SPN's Josina Anderson reports acquiring LT Trent Williams is "still on the table" for the Browns.
"Nothing is imminent or super close right now," Anderson adds, but the Browns are continuing to monitor the situation. All but certain to be selecting their successor at left tackle with the No. 10 overall pick, it makes sense for Browns GM Andrew Berry to simply forego that development process altogether and instead opt to bring in a sure-thing to shore up Baker Mayfield's blindside. Of course, that would also entail coming to terms on a new deal worth upwards of $18 million-plus annually for the 31-year-old stud. The Vikings, currently set to select at No. 22 and No. 25 in the first round of Thursday's draft, are also reportedly inquiring on what it would take to land Williams.

agreed. They can keep their mid round picks. Give us a first next year or a second and fourth.

In yet another sign of the apocalypse, I actually changed my mind AFTER reading one of YOUR posts on this issue - about the relative importance of draft picks.

Now kindly, go fuck yourself. :-)
