Does this put extra pressure on Sciocia to win this year? If he doesn’t, Will the Angels go in a different direction next year?

Another difference is that you can't choose who you want to use and when. When the Lakers (or whoever he is playing for at the time) have one play to get an important basket Lebron James is probably going to get the ball and take the shot. When the Angels need a big hit the probability is great that Mike Trout won't be the guy at the plate for them.

AND with a base open they could always intentionally walk him. The probability is even lower. Baseball is truly a team sport, just like soccer. I don't watch any soccer though
