It's slightly different than the ones I've wrote before but the same thought behind it.

One of my biggest issues with Dalton isn't found on a stat sheet. The amount of throws he doesn't make, is alarming. He misses a lot of open receivers and doesn't make a lot of throws an NFL QB should be able to make. At the end of the day, plays that should be made, and would be attempted by 85% of the qbs in the league, show up as a 2 yard scramble gain or loss.

I agree. He seems to miss players or just be gun shy to try and put a bullet is a small window.

The throw to a wide open AJ Green with 2 min left in the playoff game to take the lead was disturbing. He missed him by 5 yards easily. Any QB worth his salt would at least give the receiver a chance to grab the ball.

It can't possibly be any worse.

Yes it could. These two have track records of complete failure. Why in the hell were they brought in? Dalton could still improve, though I'm not holding my breath in anticipation.

Dalton is still 19-13 during the regular season as a starter, and 0-2 in post season.

He has made it to the playoffs in both years he has been with the team, including a year as a rookie with no offseason programs.

60.2% completion percentage
7,067 yards passing
47 TD's
29 INT's
83.9 QB Rating

He has never thrown an INT in the red zone in his career as a Bengal.

He has been lacking a true #1 HB, his WR core is/was crap except Green. Gresham is a ball dropping machine. Whitworth was atrocious last year at LT due to his injury. He had two rookie guards basically blocking for him last year, although both turned out to be pretty decent. The thing that was not decent was the center, where Cook was injured, Robinson did okay, but most the time we had that other dude who sucked, Cook came back and sucked.

Dalton is not free from fault and has plenty of shortcomings. However, he has had some adversity around him as well withg that offense.

He has a little better supporting cast this year. Eifert is a stud and will hopefully bring the most out of Gresham to fight for his job. Sanu being back sound help the WR core, and I think Sanzenbacher can really help this core as well as a slot WR in a Wes Welker type of role. Of course no where as good as Welker but he can be serviceable.

I like the change of pace with our RB's now with BJGE and Bernard, and maybe a little Burkhead from time to time.

Andy should have a pretty good year in my opinion.

My guess on things.....(just a guess and my opinion is all)

64.5 Percent completion
3,950 yards
30 TD's
15 INT's
11-5 during regular season record.

I don't know about all that, Crash, but the one thing I am sure of is he won't be losing his job to either of the two clowns vying for the #2 job.

Bengals just need Dalton to be a caretaker of the offense. Don't screw up too badly and the other guys will bail him out enough, and lean on the defense.

I think with a competent HC we could compete for a SB even with Dalton. The defense and Dalton's supporting cast is that good.

Exactly. Carson could have even made that throw.

And he has missed PLENTY of wide open receivers. A lot of plays he doesn't even attempt to make.

a 'pretty good' year? To me that looks like a career year for Dalton. All of those would be career highs.

There are no excuses for Dandy this year, it's that simple. He's got the weapons. If the Bengals are actually going to be serious about winning, if Dalton doesn't perform this year, we're going to have to look to draft on in 2014 because QB IS one of the weakest links.
