Chris Johnson has stated he wants the Jets to trade for AJ. They have the cap space and the need. He wants out, seems like a logical move.

Andre Johnson wants a contender. At this point New England, Seattle, or Green Bay would be his best bet.

CJ2K got the Titans to give him his money, doubt he gets the Jets to get him another Johnson.

Andre won't leave Houston this year. Cap hit is 12 million if they trade him.

2014 will probably be his last year in Houston but Andre is stuck there this year.

No offense, but if he wants a chance at a SB, the Jets should be pretty far down the list.

If Andre Johnson were to go to the Jets, the Jets make the playoffs. That's all he can really ask for.

The doubt is more I don't think Idzik would want to pay Johnson's salary despite the cap room. The Jets are 23.5 million under the cap and have signed some of their rookies (not the 1st rounder).

Probably. Who is the QB that's going to make them good this season?

They don't necessarily need a QB that's going to make them good. Just as long as their QB don't make them bad.

Wishful thinking. Possible, but highly doubtful.

What part?

If he's with the Jets they make the playoffs? That's not highly doubtful.

Him joining the Jets is highly doubtful yes........I don't see it happening because Idzik is a cap guy.

Andre Johnson on the Jets probably makes them a playoff team. Their D is top notch, up there with some of the best in the league. Their QB should be better than last year, whether it's Geno who should be improved or Vick who is a step up from last year. They added weapons on offense and another receiving target, I think puts them in.

Exactly.

I just don't see Andre getting moved now, would have thought if the Texans were going to trade him doing so before the draft would have been the better play.

After free agency and the draft, everyone is optimistic. You guys are acting like it is an absolute fact the Jets will make the playoffs by adding a receiver that is undoubtedly on the downside of his career. Personally, I think it is a huge stretch, but you never know. Everyone is tied right now.

But they're not adding one receiver, they're adding yet another weapon to the other weapons they've added. The D will be there, just as it was last year. They were 8-8, with a better offense it's conceivable they could be a 10 win team and then we're talking playoffs. Decker as the number 1? Iffy. Decker as the number 2? Legit. Obviously nothing is guaranteed but they are a better team than they were last year, Andre would make them that much better.

If you add Andre Johnson to the Jets, that is definitely a playoff team.

QB-Michael Vick or Geno Smith

RB-Chris Johnson/Chris Ivory

WR-Andre Johnson

WR-Eric Decker

WR-Jeremy Kerley

TE-Jace Amaro

With a quality OL, that offense could be top 10 and the defense could be as well.

Don't see how it's a huge stretch, because I don't see how it's a huge stretch for the Jets to make the playoffs without him. Adding him only makes them better, hes still a beast.

I wont actually count the Jets out this year. I think it could be a surprise 9-7/10-6 playoff team. Their defense is solid and they improved from this draft. Decker and some of the offensive positions meh, but a year always helps a rookie QB. Statistics show that Smith SHOULD be better this year and that might be enough. I hope the Jets don't give up on him (mainly because it'd be a sad story, not because I care about the Jets) and start Vick at some point barring injury.

Jet's do have a top 10 SOS so if they do make it, can't make that excuse. I actually have the Jets (as well as Browns) as sleeper teams this year. That doesn't mean I'm pegging either for the SBOWL, but playoffs or CLOSE to it (8-8/9-7 missing).

*disclaimer: Seahawks fan posting. Could care less about either franchise. No former Seattle or UW players going there I care about, just an unbiased opinion*
