Late in the game he threw a TD that gave the 'Boys the lead. They highlighted the 500 yards stat.

I looked at my husband and said, "He'll screw it up"

Sure enough....

After the tying TD by the Broncos, Tony throws the pick inside his own 30 that set up the winning FG.

This game is a microcosm of Tony's career: He'll blow your doors off with stats, then find a way to lose.

5 TD's.....and ONE interception.

That one interception gave the game away. We've seen this time and again throughout this guys career.

Cry me a Rivers. He had a helluva day. His protection broke down. I always thought he was light in his loafers....until today. 500 yards. Probably the closest anyone but KC will come to beating Denver this year. Kudos to Romo and the Cowsills.

His protection had nothing to do with him throwing that pick.

It's easy to look at the stats and say he had a great game but it wasn't a great game because he made the crucial mistake at the end that lost the game. If Peyton would have made the same mistake he would get most of the blame as well.

Typical Romo. He will maintain his team drafting somewhere beween the 12th and 19th pick every year.

I don't get singling Romo out in the loss today, despite him throwing a critical interception down the stretch. That game would not have been close had Romo not been spectacular most of the game. Is there even one Dallas defender for whom anything close to the same is true? Romo gave his team far more of a chance to win than did the Dallas defense.

:agree:

Romo had a solid day... 2 big plays kept the game tight otherwise Dallas was probably out of it. Although people will remember the bad Romo throw, he had a good day.

Unfortunately, he has a history that he won't overcome until he wins a few big games in the post season... so throws like that don't help his "perception" with the haters.

Romo held on to the ball a long time... so his protection was good most of the game.

Most of the big plays that kept Dallas in it were when receivers broke off routes and were scrambling after Romo had been standing their for 7 secs

Is there anything resembling a defense in the NFC east? 500+ yds-5 TDs- 48 pts and you still lose? It is just sad. And does the state of Texas pro football teams just love QB's with the "choke" gene or what?

Yeah, throwing for 500 yards is horrible! He should've thrown for 600...:L

Fuck. I'll take him on the Cardinals any day. Then again our QB's have sucked since Warner so it's not saying much, but still.

Go back to 2000, put Romo with the Patriots and Brady with the Cowgirls. Who is the better QB?

The only stat that matters for Romo is 1-3.

He's been behind center for the cowboys since 2006. 8 years and 1 playoff win.

Terrible.

Easy Brady is still better. Brady does more with less on the Pats, why couldn't he do more with more on Dallas?

Yep, he forced that last throw. That is Romo for ya, fucking up when it counts the most.

One of my buddies is a huge Cowboy fan, he fucking hates Romo with a passion and for this reason and this reason only.

The patriots never sniff a Super Bowl and romo would have been long since been out of New England.
