The planning war room on this team has been on vacaqtion for far too long. As soon as the Duck started their usual strategy of trying to take out our best players in game #1, to assure them of the series, part of out game plans should have been to take Selanne right out of the series, and to put fairy boy into another galaxy. But, no not us, we're going to just finesse our way around them and tippy toe our way around the ice like we always do. I'm totally sick and tired of that philosophy. That worked back in the days of the team built around talented offensive players - the kind that Pittsburgh has put together for the playoff run. But, when you play a team like the thug masters, we are now going to leave it up to Pavel to fight our battles for us by asking him to dish out the hits? Now, if that isn't a f...ed up plan, what's next?

Filppula was absolutely awful tonight. He blew 3 opportunities at the net by either fanning on shots or mistiming them. Then, how many times did he miss a simple pass that came to him? He had better get his shit together quickly, if we are to getback into this series. Did he overdose on his medication tonight or what?

Eh... they're better off poke-checking Selanne and trying to send Perry into the hospital instead. Craig Ludwig went head-hunting on Selanne once, and the Ducks proceeded to fuck Dallas' shit up for the next three years with high sticks, elbows, and boards. Detroit doesn't need that karma.

I think he put every once of talent he had left for the season into getting that puck to Nyquist on Thursday.

How many times can these guys leave their goaltender exposed and expect him to save their asses? Kronwall! Don't get me started on this guy. Those that put this guy on a pedestal, just don't seem to realize that he just isn't that good to play in the #1 spot. First of all, he just isn't that smart, and secondly, he is out of position too much of the time. When is this guy going to get it right? Probably never.

Well at least my expectations for the Wings this year was met, they kept the playoff streak alive; one and done.

Team is too small and plays too much Euro style, not going to get it done against a teams like the Ducks.

Abby's hit, fuck that!! Shouldn't even have been a charging call.

I thought brunner was worse. He was god awful with the puck on that 5 on 3 and he was the guy who turned it over on the 2nd goal

Abdelkader winds up getting a 2-game suspension for the hit, and we'll have to replace him with another ballet dancer. They had better address the toughness issue that this team has at this June's draft table. Unless we do, we will continue to get physically pummelled in next season's playoff once again.
