This is the reason to not pay attention until after the times are actually being put up.

In the video shown AJ looks slow..slow on his initial start and slow on break out of cuts...not a lot of separation there..

I've been saying that Jeffery isn't as physically impressive as most people think for over a year now, but these are obviously just rumors.

Confirmed...Alshon Jeffery has been in Tampa since January 8th. IF he ran a 4.88 in Indianapolis, it was over a month ago.

His lack of separation is definitely a concern. He won't be able to rely on his physical gifts in the pros. 40 times are an over-rated benchmark, but in his case it should be scrutinized because if he's too slow to play the position it's a terrible pick. He looks so sluggish out there to me on youtube and its easy to anticipate him struggling.

There's other WR's that we can look to instead. Or we could go with a CB and I wouldn't have an issue with the pick. My gut is telling me to avoid this guy.

He'd have to shock me at the combine in order for me to think he's a #1 WR because on film he's downright slow (not for college but compared to NFL WRs).

By the way I don't mean Ronald Johnson I mean Ron Johnson of the 2002 draft variety.

Who was it that absolutely LOVED that guy back on the old forum? I forget who, but it was a regular. Mex maybe?

Yeah, it was Cancun. Someone may have already answered that, but I don't know how many posters here remember that far back.

he might have to become a tight end, but that picture someone posted weeks ago made him look out of shape.

I don't like Jeffery at all and will probably break things if the Niners draft him.

Well said. In fact I think you stole my exact quote from 2009 concerning a different WR who was highly successful at the college level.

lol. i can do 4.88 in rubber boots

I don't begrudge you the hyperbole, but that would be extremely impressive.

He might have shut him down some plays put Alshon roasted him deep for a TD and Dennard whiffed on two ankle tackle attempts.

4 catches 149 yards.

One catch was a 51 yard hail mary TD, when Dennard wasn't on Alshon.

so down to 3 catches for 99 yards and that included a 78 yard play where dennard slipped.

so...2 catches for 21 yards....

I think homerism has gotten the best of you.
Go to 1:15 and show me where Dennard slips?
He got roasted.

Hell he was roasted on the first play of that video that would have been a TD if the ball wasn't overthrown.

The jeffrey may cause deficiencies to offense including but not limited to: impacting overall motor skills of offense; blurry visions of big slow moving WR's floating across playing field; heightened feelings of anxiety to any QB waiting in pocket; overall game time experience may increase

Dennard was most certainly on Alshon on that hail mary, he was the last one to touch Jeffery as Alshon dove into the endzone. Also...what Ray said.
