Thats it Bone.. Adrian Dantley at 54+% is the ONLY player to play more than half his career games at guard to be in the top 30 for all time FG%. Pretty impressive.

Mo Cheeks?

Special cred to you Bot. Mo Cheeks is the best shooting PG in NBA history at 52.3% followed closely by Magic at 52%. The 2nd best shooting percentage for a shooting guard behind AD was Bernard King at 51.5% ( forgot how well that guy could fill it up before he got hurt)

Field Goal percentage for modern day guards needs to be adjusted for the 3-point shot.

The three point shot is arguably the most efficient shot to take at a good ability (40% = 1.2 pts) VERSUS a 2 pt shot (50% = 1 pt).

Obviously you get fouled a lot more by shooting 2s, so that skews things again back.

But, todays guards shoot from a much further distance away.

The 3 point shot is simply invaluable and worth lower fg%.

FG% should be split into the "2pt era" and "3pt era" for guards.

True but only 29 guys in NBA history shoot 40% from 3 for their careers with only 1 of those guys even being remotely close to an all time top 50 player ( bonus points if you guess who he is...) I do agree that an adjusted FG% would be useful though.

Hey Horns, I gotta give you credit you stupid moron. That's actually a solid point. And perhaps the only time in 7 or 8 years that I've agreed you. Well said.
Peace!!!

Where is your "great" Steph Curry on this list? Where is the "great" Bill Russell? NOWHERE, that's where!

All hail Magic Johnson!
