no i can disagree and still believe we have a lot of work to do. i can name a number of players on our 40 who need to be traded or DFA'ed without touching several of the young players you have listed.

leclerc, anderson, bush, culberson, cotton and Folty released. guzman, trevino, lowe and sborz traded.

there's 10
See, it is easy. No struggle at all.

Wow, that would be jumping in with both feet right away. I was wondering if they would sign anyone of significance this coming offseason, and you have them going after 3.
well i did say it wouldn't happen but i would rather go with quality than with quantity. and that's what we have gone with the last 5+ years: quantity. we sign bodies, level 5 and below FA's, and put a crap team on the field.

but we all know that next season, management will sign more Folty-type pitchers and more culberson, dahl and holt type players and troop another below average bottom of the tier 25-man roster that the fans are getting tired of seeing.

With our nucleus now mostly at AA or above, it will be interesting to see if the front office gets serious about free agency this year or of they will hope all of the pieces they need will be available later.
I doubt it. This ownership group hasn't shown any willingness to sign the better free agents.

Have to admit signing him would have been a mistake
I think Covid made it a very good thing that we didn't sign him. It was already a tough decision bringing him in a couple of years before we could compete. Covid delayed that even more, making it a good thing we didn't get him.

I would be in favor of signing a top FA this coming offseason though.

personally i think 2 top FA's and Canha to play 1st. Story and Sndergaard and that would be my off-season moves.

Little early to know who is best until more pcs. are in play.
well hopefully we are going to take a long look at our prospects next year, so a lot of them should be in play. like Huff, Jung, Walker, Solak, Garcia, Taveras, Ibanez, Allard, Dunning, Hearn, Howard, Bahr, Barlow, Benjamin, Cody, King etc. we should only be looking at maybe 1 pitcher, 1 1st Baseman and maybe a SS
