I think a lot of what happened with the WWF in 97 was that it was unpredictable and you wanted to keep watching to see what was going to happen next. One of the problems AEW has is it is too formulaic and outside of maybe a few wrestlers, people feel like it's not a must watch because you can usually figure out what's going to happen each segment.Call me a blind AEW optimist but I genuinely feel that the company is starting to hit their stride. The Page/ Swerve feud, Danielson as champion, Mox's new faction, Richoet/Opseray on the horizon.. perhaps even Shane McMahon at some point .
It's not reflecting in the ratings yet but when WWF started their come back in 97 it took a half a year or so look before the uptick even gradually became noticeable.
Could've been a lot bigger than what he ended up being but sadly, other factors kept hindering that from happening.Miro requested his release from AEW.
