Good deal. I could have seen Jericho bouncing over to WWE for one last run and a HOF induction to wrap up his career. Locking him down for 3 more years is a big get, especially considering Jericho is still doing top quality work despite being 51 years old (52 in a couple of weeks)

There was also some ROH news today. Tony Khan said

“We’ll have great news soon about Ring of Honor weekly shows,” Khan says. “The success of Death Before Dishonor on pay-per-view has ensured there will be more Ring of Honor pay-per-views.

“Our goal is to have one more great pay-per-view for Ring of Honor in 2022 and then follow that up with a weekly show in 2023.”

Damn.

What an awful end to a great show.

Hangman legit got hurt during the match which led to the stoppage. You can find still shots on Twitter but he landed right on his head and neck after taking that lariat. They didn't show it on the broadcast but also on Twitter is you can see them unhooking the bottom rope to put him on the stretcher. No word yet on his condition but some fans said he gave a thumbs up on the way out so hopefully there's nothing more serious (like paralysis or a broken neck) and he just knocked himself out. Man, that's nuts. I've seen him do that spot probably a hundred times too. Just a reminder that it is still dangerous out there no matter how smooth they make it look each week

Latest from PWInsider

For those who have asked, The Adam Page KO finish vs. AEW Champion Jon Moxley on Dynamite appears to have been a legitimate medical issue.
One source believes he may have suffered a concussion, but we don't have that 100% confirmed.
Page was checked out backstage by medical staff.
10:38 PM Update: We are told Page left the venue to get examined at a local hospital. There is still no official word as of this writing.
Obviously, PWInsider.com wishes him the best. We will update if and when we hear more.

Given that all the options were bad, getting just a concussion was the least bad option. Glad it was only that and hopefully it doesn't linger or have lasting effects.

It looked like he got knocked out by the lariat then didn't have a chance to protect himself when he was mid air and landed right on his head/neck. Concussions are obviously serious but I had my fingers crossed it wasn't a spinal injury.
All of the crazy things you see in AEW and it's scariest moment was on a routine clothesline by two of their safest workers

Phenomenal segment with MJF and Regal.
Hope it’s nothing serious with Hangman and it’s just something he can take a few weeks off to heal and then be good to go again.

I suppose this is a sign that all of this stuff is close to being resolved.
I wonder if Tony settled something with him and the release was mutual after some money exchanged hands so he wouldn’t sue because he has a hell of case for wrongful termination if not given they just fired him.

No matter what actually happened he was fired after 3 executives of the company came in to confront a talent in that talent’s own locker room and a fight broke out where Steel was trying to protect his crippled at the time wife. If it was, it’s not as cut and dry as the Elite came in with HR and the head of the legal department to talk to Punk or it wouldn’t take this long of an investigation to figure that out. Something else either happened on top of that, that no one is talking about, or it didn’t go down exactly like the Elite claims and that’s why it’s still under investigation.

If you have two outside witnesses claiming Punk and Steel were in the wrong, then Steel would’ve been fired right after it happened and they would’ve at least said Punk is missing action for six months because of an injury(or suspension). Something is clearly being hidden as evident by this still going on.

I think you're reading too much into it. They weren't going to fire anyone next day and all the details of what we know seem to correlate around Punk/Steele being in the wrong and given the actions of the fight, it seemed pretty clear Steele was gonna get fired at some point. It's just that AEW had to make sure everything was investigated and done properly given all the people and their roles who were involved.

Head of legal being there is the biggest problem for Tony. She should have been fired the next morning.

Yeah, so this All Out Brawl stuff must be over with. While they didn't appear on camera, there was a The Elite segment on Dynamite tonight. First time they've been acknowledged since All Out.

Pretty good show overall. Not buying The Firm turning on MJF though.

WrestlingInc.com's Nick Hausman featured notes from "CM Punk's camp" regarding Punk's side of the issues stemming from the AEW All Out PPV backstage fight. Among the highlights of the report:

*CM Punk's dog Larry was said to be injured "once Punk's locker room door was "kicked in" and accidentally hit Punk's dog, Larry, in the face. At a pre-scheduled veterinarian appointment a few days later, Punk was informed that two of Larry's teeth had been knocked loose and had to be removed."

*Punk "felt threatened" when The Elite entered his locker room "and reacted in a legal way under Illinois' Castle Doctrine laws, which allow for the use of force in defense of a person in their dwelling."

*Ace Steel's wife Lucy, who was in the room at the time of the fight, was never spoken to by the third-party investigation.

*Punk's side felt that what Punk stated in the scrum "wasn't a big deal" until everything escalated when The Elite came to his locker room.

*Punk's side also described "distrust" of Adam Page after Page went off script and made his own comments in the promo leading up to their AEW title bout and that there was a belief the match could turn into a legitimate fight.

It should be noted that Nick Hausman was the reporter CM Punk initially went after during the All Out media scrum, asking him if he was friends with Colt Cabana

Punk being so distrustful after Hangman's throwaway comments in the promo that he thought it might turn into a legit fight is laughable. This dumbass really got into his own head.

Good news: Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that AEW has signed Bandido. He's such a fun wrestler to watch.

Meh news: Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that AEW has signed Juice Robinson. If there was ever a definition of "just a guy" in wrestling, Juice fits the bill.

How many dudes is Tony Khan gonna keep signing? I get that ROH is probably/likely getting a TV show soon so that should help, but that roster is so bloated and he just keeps adding them (signed The Kingdom last week too). I can understand Bandido because the talent is there to be the next big Lucha style star, but the rest? Why?

Agree about Juice. Never really saw the big deal about him. I’m guessing it’s a favor to Toni Storm maybe? Either way, there are plenty of people like Miro, Hobbs, Starks, etc… that can’t even get tv time and yet they’re still signing people.
