LSU being more than a touchdown favorite after losing Mettenberger and their performance against Arkansas is a little surprising to me.

And not much confidence in the Central Florida or Oklahoma.

the SEC was favored in all 9 of theirs last year; they went 6-3. this year they are favored in 8 of their 10 matchups (South Carolina is about a 1 point dog to Wisconsin at the moment and Auburn 8 or 9 to FSU).

Big XII only favored in one bowl game. I don't know why they always have to play up in bowl games instead of even competition.

I actually think that line is spot on. If it was double digits I was at 10 I would say too much. As a fan I say over, but as a realist I'd probably take the under. I think they are expecting people to think LSU will beat them by double digits and it will bait people who don't know how to bet into taking the over.

the cotton bowl is usually Big 12 #2 vs SEC #3 or #4. Just sayin...

But they have to play higher seeded Pac 12 teams in the Alamo and Holiday bowls. It is a tough slate for the Big 12.

Of course the SEC has great tie ins and watching those match ups is always fun, mainly cuz their teams are so damn good.

what makes you think Utah wasn't just the better team? They were undefeated, beat 2 top 10 teams, and 4 top 25 teams that season.

not so sure. Texas can run the ball right? They may carve up Oregon like Zona did.

May be a shootout with both teams running the ball over the place.

That was John Parker-Wilson's senior year. They were good, but I thought Utah was better that season too and the result was the ass whipping in the Sugar. Obviously the Tide has been incredible since then.

Bob Gregory, the LB coach. It seems like Coach Pete is taking our DC with him and the current OC is too inept to fill in. You know what's ironic, Mamba? I won't even get to see it cuz it kicks off on Christmas eve right as my flight to Boise is departing out of Phoenix. It's just as well. I'll probably record it and watch it later while already knowing the result. We'll see. It's been a shithouse season by Boise's standards. We played six teams that I suppose you could call decent, all on the road and lost to four of them. And not to continue with the negatively but they couldn't even win their shitty division let alone shitty conference. It's frustrating as hell, but it is reality. What a dramatic fall off it's been. We'll see if the program can bounce back. The new hire is obviously going to be crucial.

Well while it's not particularly kind to Texas fans, I hope you all smash them for whatever that's worth. I'll definitely be watching that one. And it's just a touch bigger than the prestigious Hawaii Bowl.
