Tough to keep the Jays in the park when they are on a roll offensively. They have never really gotten everything working this year. Not sure they're the best team in the AL, but they're definitely the scariest.

I'm with you. In fact, I think they might be the best in the AL. I think it's close between them and the RSox.

Agreed, they're a pretty scary team. 3rd in OBP and 3rd in home runs in the AL this year. As I said somewhere on this board, their rotation really outperformed their projections. Stroman had a somewhat disappointing year, but he's rebounded in the 2nd half.

In hindsight it I am more and more surprised the Royals beat the 2015 Jays in 6. That team was ridiculously stacked by year's end on paper.

they underperformed their pythag by a whopping 9 wins last year. They really went on a roll in the 2nd half after a 45-46 first half (despite a +82 run differential). Sox underperformed their pythag by a good amount this year, but not nearly to the extent of the 2015 Jays.

True. All these teams look like they could win the World Series. Totally the opposite of the NBA, where we know there's only, like, three or four teams in any given year that have a realistic shot of winning the title.

Just glad the Royals had enough relievers between Madson, Herrera, Hochevar, and Davis to keep Toronto's offense busy or it would've hardly been a fair fight.
