Nah. I think he just doesn't have the mental make up. If you were able to convince him it wasn't a playoff game I think he'd do better. That being said - he was a workhorse this season and but for him the Sox don't make the playoffs (or get stuck with a wild card). Think he was an over pay and thought he should have been about .25 to .5 ERA better but overall I think the Sox got what they bargained for.

Needless to say, he could have pitched a gem yesterday and the offense would have still lost it for them.

I hope so.. but we're not showing as much intensity as I was hoping we would.. it's almost like we're feeling sorry for ourselves that Cleveland wasn't scared of our offense. The Redsox have played very uninspired baseball the past week and a half. It's sad but on the other hand neither one of these teams want anything to do with Toronto right now I don't think.

He has been good since being re-inserted in the rotation, but it's so hard to believe a pitcher of his schtick would do well against Boston, in Fenway. Seems like 12-0 game waiting to happen. Or at least, it feels that way. Ignoring the analytics for a bit.

Hope you're right but the Red Sox have not looked sharp at all the last few weeks and the last 2 games against the Indians certainly didn't give us much help

Not so hot.

I think Toronto is a better team that the Indians, but fortunately, that doesn't mean fuckall in the playoffs. My point was that Cleveland would much rather have an opportunity to face Toronto than not.

Indians still need to get past Red Sox, which I'm nervous about. With the rotation in shambles, I think the Indians need to finish the ALDS in Boston, allowing Kluber to go three games in the ALCS if they're going to have a puncher's chance against the Blue Jays.
