True, but they were doing it because they know they are talented (in Aldon's case extremely). They weren't backing them out of the goodness of their heart or anything. Not saying the players don't "owe" the organization in a sense, but when it all comes to a head they will want money (and their agents will too!).

Well, if The Niners offer 1M and the Bears offer 4M, sure. There isn't much to consider.

But if the Niners offer 4M and the Bears offer 4.5M, he is more likely to stay because he has a good history.

I know I will take a job for slightly less if the office culture is more to my liking. While salary is important, it is not the ONLY factor for me. And I suspect that is the case with most people.

Suspension is officially over. Can't wait to see him play. Hope he's in great shape.
