I don't get that move. Houston needs to go for the jugular and not give the Yankees confidence. Nobody better to do that than Cole.

We are giving Cole his normal 4 day rest rather than throwing him a day early.

It's the right thing to do.

The Yankees will need to play two perfect games and beat a rested Cole at home...Good luck with that.

I wouldn't be shocked if we won tomorrow tbh...

Fair enough. Good luck.

1st concert i eva went to was led zeppelin in 1970 snuck a 6 pack in my coat (they didnt sell beer) tickets were $5 and i thought that was outrageous:suds:

Have you seen Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening?

I've seen them 3x (2013 with Heart; 2015 headlining; 2017 with Foreigner and Cheap Trick).

I like them, and the stories Jason Bonham tells of his time being around his father and Led Zeppelin, when he was young.

They were called Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience from 2017 and prior.

We (Yankees fans) need to lead off in this game with either a 3-run homer, several base hits, or several walks. Either one is good.

Looks like you got your wish in the next game, game 5.

Hate to see Sabathia potentially end his career like that. Will always remember the run he had to finish out the 2008 with the Brewers. The most dominant stretch of pitching I had ever witnessed.

Thanks CC!!

While he was good in the 2009 playoffs, I still think his performance down the stretch with the Brewers was the best of his career, given what was at stake.

:hmm: . . . .

....you sure yourn watchin' the channels with baseball playoff games on 'em, and not the channels with gladiator movies?

Yup.

I wouldn't have even brought up the Barbasol thing, if the lack of seeing them in the past few playoffs, hadn't been something I was thinking about.

On another random note, it was kind of cool watching the 2017 playoffs, because for 4 Fridays in a row, I happened to watch an Astros home game. That's how the TV scheduling worked out that year, based on which network was broadcasting which series, and which teams had home field in each round.

The pattern of watching the same team, in the playoffs, for 4 Fridays, was kind of cool.

That didn't happen in 2018, because the Brewers didn't make the World Series.

In 2019, the Cardinals would have needed to make the World Series against any of the AL teams.

In the 2009 WS, Phillies Cliff Lee beat Sabathia in the first game. Charlie Manual decided to rest Lee and go with the immortal fat Joe Blanton for the third game while the Yankees, who place a high priority on winning big time, brought back Sabathia who killed the Philliies, ruining their chance of winning back to back trophies.

Why give the Yankee savages an opportunity. Cole beat the Yanks in Game 3, giving up just 4 hits in 7 innings. Three days rest is plenty in an ALCS. Although you make a good point - beating a rested Cole at home will be tough.

Why push Cole to beat them on 3 days rest when his body is use to 4 days if you don't have to?

If we run him out and he's not 100% we may screw ourselves in both games.

If Cole gets his 4 days rest you can book it that he will throw 7 complete innings. Leaving 6 outs for the pen to figure out.

Not sure about sure things. We’ll see what happens.
