Game was just called
Figured it would be. Glad they did it early.
This definitely changes things- can have Tanaka tomorrow now on 4 days rest-will be interesting to see how they go.

They already nearly beat Verlander in game 2.
It is called a best of 7 and not best of 3 for reason.
Series is far from over
Laid out the plan yesterday.
Tanaka in game 4, Paxton in game 5, bullpen game in game 6 (don't trust Sevy), & all hell in game 7 if we get that far.
If we win one of the next two in NY... You fucked..
LOL... Nearly beat Verlander
I guess he did only throw 65 pitches or whatever it was on Saturday, but I'd be inclined to give Tanaka an extra day.
Wait until Charlton sees the Statue of Liberty......that'll wipe the smile off his face......
Don't know if you can risk it.
Can't lose game 4. And also if he goes in game 4 then you have him for a few innings in a possible game 7. Start him in game 5 then no way he is going in game 7
Flipside is (if the series goes the distance) they've got 4 games in 4 days starting tomorrow. For a team that's so reliant on its bullpen, that could present a problem. So I think regardless of when he starts, they're going to need length from Tanaka. I just think he would be better equipped to provide that length with an extra day of rest.
But again, he threw less than 70 pitches on Saturday, so it's entirely possible that I'm overthinking this. LOL
I nearly won the lotto last night... Does that get me any swag??
You get a free autographed Jacoby Ellsbury jersey......
Bottem of 9th. One of the next three guys will hit it out.
Why no Ballantine beer commercials? Make the three ring sign and ask the man for Ballantine. Good nite.
"Several Astros pitchers told me they were showered with beer and almost hit by beer cans thrown from the stands into the visitor's bullpen. An Astros staff member said he saw a woman get hit by a beer can in the back of the head and apparently she had to be taken to get medical attention."
I'm calling bullshit on this one. Who is throwing a full can of beer? That's gotta be like 12 bucks
Up until a few years ago, there were still Barbasol shaving cream commercials in the playoffs.
That would have fit right in with the 1950s fans.
I personally think this is as close to a must win for the yankees as it comes to
Thanks for making me feel old. I can't remember going to a concert where "craft beer" was an option.People throw beer at concerts, and non craft beer is $16-$18 at those venues. At game stadiums, agree with your price estimate, that it's closer to $10-$12.
1st concert i eva went to was led zeppelin in 1970 snuck a 6 pack in my coat (they didnt sell beer) tickets were $5 and i thought that was outrageousThanks for making me feel old. I can't remember going to a concert where "craft beer" was an option.
a few years ago? there are a couple of barbasol commercials that are running right now.
