Which is exactly why whatever dollars left on a contract you give a coach should be on your cap when they get fired.

There needs to be punishment for bad moves as a GM. I mean, beyond being known as the guy who picked Gilbert Brule over Anze Kopitar and getting a spot on TV.

Hahhaha. I agree. That's why I generally don't like the compliance buyouts. Sure they're needed because of the cap, but all it's doing is giving some GMs who made horrible choices a break (or two).
