FanGraphs seems to really hate relief pitchers/closers in their WAR rankings.

Their 2nd highest rated closer is Clase at #162 right in between Gio Urshela and Dylan Carlson. While I understand that relievers are way less important than SP and position players, its hard for anyone to tell me that Kolten Wong, Santiago Espinal, Eduwardo Escobar, Lars Nootbar, Isaac Paredes, Jake McCarthy, Hunter Renfroe, etc. have lent more to winning than Clase

WAR is a cumulative stat, and relievers generally throw around 60-70 innings. They're rarely going to top even 3+ WAR in a season. I wouldn't bother comparing the WAR of a reliever to starting pitchers/position players.

FWIW, Clase ranks 4th in the AL in WPA (and that includes starters).

Good move, IMO. Bochy is a player's manager, and treats the superstars and the 26th men with the same respect. I think they appreciate that.
Look for the Rangers to get a few players for him to work with.

He and the owner, Mr. Crane, didn't see eye to eye on much. He made a deal for Willson Contreras last season that Dusty didn't like and Mr. Crane vetoed. It was inevitable that they would part ways.

So the Angels just beat the Rockies up and take Moustakas like he's their lunch money. I bet Moose is happy to get out of there. Not only is he out of the mess that the Rockies are, he also gets to go home to LA.

The Angels just picked up Escobar and now Moustakas. Infield depth is good.

Ohtani left like 3 starts early with blisters.

Then left two games as a hitter early with body cramps

Now leaves another start with finger cramps?!?!

Didn't keep him from staying in as a hitter though

Angels are done.

Just a horrendous decision to sit on Ohtani and get nothing for him while trading your few prospects for rentals.
