So right now its gotta be Trout edging out Donaldson.

But what if the crazy happens and the Angles, Jays and Tigers all miss the playoffs?(two currently are not in now anyways)

That basically makes all the good candidates on non playoff teams. Would they go that route in this case?

Or just give it to the pitcher Keuchel? Cain would be the most underwhelming MVP of all time.

I think Donaldson will win.

But say the Jays miss and the Angels miss, either Machado or Fielder would be in the playoffs, they both are deserving of votes right now. If Fielder somehow won a batting title his bigass would be a valid DH MVP, imo. Assuming the Rangers make the playoffs if the Angels don't.

But if the Angels do make it, Pujols has a shot at another one. Not as good of a shot as golden boy Trout, but an outside chance.

Trout is the pretty clear #1. I don't think it should really be debated at this point. These are Trout's numbers:

#1 in WAR, #1 in oWAR, #1 in SLG%, #1 in Total Bases, #1 in OPS+, #1 HR's, #1 in Runs, #2 in OPS, #4 in OBP, #7 in Avg.

Ha yeah and I know it sucks that Moose was on the Berevement list for whatever reason(not good regardless).

But the dude didn't even play this week and still raked in votes having worse numbers as is.
